OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

A very good question Tucker, and you’re right to highlight the seemingly lack of interest from the club to want to hear the answers.
We’ve seen players like Stef and Blorey leave for less money, and to live in such a hole like Melbourne?
In a highly competitive environment it’s natural to have a few personality clashes, and Richo may have got to grievance #2 and decided it was all crap and didn’t want to hear any more offensive remarks about his coach? But it’s not a good look is it?
Richo is really fired up about this, I think mid last year he said quite firmly..we will not be dictated to by player managers. That statement itself gives an insight into the predicament faced by clubs.
I agree they shouldn’t let player managers dictate terms, the clubs should be in control.
That said, you still have to humour them and let them have their say as ultimately they have the ear of your asset.

My thoughts have definitely swung from making sure we hold onto Galvin to get a favourable advantage in a swap.
To
Hold onto this kid for the duration of his contract with no early release granted regardless of who is a swap option.
I think it’s the principle we need to stick with now.

The only thing I would consider is calling their bluff re team dynamic and bringing him back into first grade after a few weeks in a message of support or unity to contradict the bullying claims.
We still hold all the cards re his contract, so him playing and training with the team is the best message to get out of this bullying crap.
Going forwards we really should consider him as our best 18th man option for the rest of the year as he can still play cup but has potential to get on the field in extreme circumstances and can really assist in a game situation due to his utility value.
Yep, no point releasing him. He's on $250-$350k which is nothing. We hold onto him and he can cover the Centres, Back row and Halves when we have injuries/suspensions which will happen over the next 18 months. He gets no preferencial treatment because he isn't in our future plans and he becomes a utility in the top 30 which every club needs. It doesn't mean we just release him. Richo and Benji know that he is still of use to the squad. We make sure he doesn't block any real pathways and he rides out his contract. His management have said they wanted to give WTs notice so they can plan for life without Galvin and that's exactly what we do.

100% agree, where else can you get a NRL standard depth player who covers most positions on the field for the money he is on. Bargain of the century and we have him for 18 months. His agent may kick stones but can’t see Galvin kicking them when he is on the field like Mitch Moses did. With the spotlight shining on him big time he has to behave himself, so I see keeping him a no brainer, and it sends a message we are no longer a door mat

Man if the top 2 grievances are that , would you want to listen to the rest ? Especially when you know Moses and you know exactly what he’s doing .
It was clearly bullshit , and like I’ve said a lot now , a huge betrayal in trust, to not only manipulate certain scenarios that were clearly to protect Galvin( maybe he was getting dominated so badly , it was difficult to watch?) but to then go back and record it in a diary to then be used as dirt .
Man …. That’s cold ! From Galvin . He’s the one telling these stories. He’s the one following though on his managers instructions
Yes, I would like to read the rest.
I don't know if its bs? Apparently, Cove's lawyer has served a complaint letter to the Tigers or one or more of its employees? That could mean they need to file a defence to the court, you can't just toss this stuff into the bin, because Cove's lawyer will apply to the court for a default judgement.
What if Richo and Benji knew what Galvin was up to? And that's why he was treated with kid gloves?
I had this happen to me with an employee and her husband. She was aggressive and told lies, but it didn't matter. The case was held on a 3 way over the phone. The judge said to me she's asking for $6k, to which I replied, "what bloody for?" He said I don't know. do you want me to ask her. It was a Labor party rip off. the amount was issued as an ETP which meant taxed as a lump sum. I got it down to $2,700.
The point is after everything that has been written and said about this topic we are all still in the dark.

Stef and.blore didnt leave to live in a hole.like melb...they left to join the most successful club of the modern era and if anyone could develop their game bellamy could.
Why...for less as you say ( who knows how much theyre on...we all think we know but its really darts in the dark)
A few wooden spoons is the likely answer

A hole like Melbourne is correct... its hyped as most livable or some rhetorical bs like that so Melburnians can bleat about something other than flat whites and Victorian leg tennis..... Hole of a joint, but it does give Storm players almost 100% fly under the radar unrecognised... That could be a reason along with Bellamy is a winner, credit where its due.

That's not how court works and this won't be herd by Fair Work even if it dose end up in court which I seriously doubt.

If and it's a big if that it makes it to court it will be the NSW Supreme Court where it is herd. For Cove / Galvin to even lodge a claim they will have to convince the Supreme Court they have enough evidence for a case to proceed and have a reasonable chance of Success.

A few insta posts and a 15 point grievance list isn't even close to enough. It's drivel for the media to pressure the tigers into giving them a release. It's Moses only play and he knows it.

Look at it Torpanie, none of his mates from the dogs will testify on his part because they know it's career suicide. If Galvin made it to the Supreme Court none of his mates or Tigers staff are backing him either.

The only way we release him is if we decide the media pressure is to intense and we Bail giving into him.

It's all just noise and the best way to shut it down is to say nothing and win and then keep winning........

It’s not bullying, it’s consequences for poor behaviour. Can Romey & Turuva claim they’re being bullied for not being able to express their thoughts? Galvin just needs to take accountability for his BS behaviour. Hope this galvanises our team. Pun intended.
Thing being ignored is benji's mental health. Just because galvin is a 19 year old and benji is a veteran doesn't make it any different given the initial aggressor was galvin's management. Galvin's team have prepared a dossier against him and leaked parts of it through the media. He has been put under the pump by the media to keep his job with failure in the past 2 years, and galvin comes out and says this. The narcissistic grub playing victim from warranted 'bullying' he brought on himself says it all about him. Paul Kent being one of his defenders also says a lot... those are the type of people on his side. The Triple M crew also are very pro-Galvin. Triple M who has bullying allegations all over it and is an old boys club which has quickly become an outlet for miserable middle-aged men

Bulas post on Instagram after the knights game (I think it was on the Monday) had the soundtrack of 50 cents window shopping. Is that now bullying too? Lol
