OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277

Everyone on NRL 360 seem happy that the Galvin thing has settled down Tigers won !Team effort ,Lachie looked happy etc etc
Except one guy Read ,He seemed to want to inflame it again
By the way Everyone said the Pole tackle was not a sin bin or even a penalty
Except Read !
Hall of famer and respected CEO versus twice banned player manager. Only one reason I can think of why Read would back the grub.

That piece of crap really has had a falling out with Richo.

There is no doubt Galvin will be a good NRL level player for a long time and at present he is one of our best 17 players so we would be mad not to pick him. Although I think we probably got lucky when he knocked us back as we were going to throw a large chunk of our cap at player who’s contract value was determined by media hype rather than actually on field achievements. At this stage it is very debatable he will rise to the level of an elite player. Anyway I see a million dollars a year can probably fix two problems instead of one
Actually when you hear what some of the top pundits keep saying about 1m plus players .. he actually may be close to deserving it …
Million plus players should be players determining your results or players you go to for clutch moments at end of the game to win it

What I saw on the weekend , hynes definately not million dollar player and Luai also is not , he is the marque player , 4 times gf winner playing half back and throws it to Doueihi for the field goal attempt .

His game yesterday was a window into the future. His pass to Samuel’s was the result of him getting a good pass from a 5/8, playing wide as a centre or back rower and getting a good ball away to his outside man. His tackle on Hazleton was great covering effort.

Unfortunately, his game as a pure 5/8, while energetic and committed came up short, especially from a kicking perspective.

Was in housos area in Abbotsford..so a pie floater at Harrys Cafe de Wheels was the go to on the way home.
Had just spent half my wage on piss on a nite out in the East somewhere..but complained about the price of a pie at Harrys!!
May have left a few of those peas (both types!)on the dockfront there...
I always speak to a fellow schizophrenic in Burwood who lives in housing commission in Abbotsford. You've hit the lottery having access to affordable housing on the water there.

Interesting perspective. Agree about Hynes. He’s choked and gone missing too many times in big games to show why he’s not worth the $$.

Luai has performed constantly at the top level for many seasons. I’m happy to have paid a little overs to get him here. Penrith offered 850k. It’s pretty close to a mil, trying to fit him in their cap.

50 years later it's hot property..but even then had gr8 access to sailing and rowing clubs, and only 8kms from the city
But it was pretty rough in the day..but so was Balmain and Paddo.
All been gentrified, homogenised etc..and very expensive these days...

Thats world class!
Unfortunately I cant remember any act I saw at Selinas..burp!
May have forgotten the whole decade!
Selinas, Astra hotel bondi and the Lifesaver were regular haunts for us

I think in AD's post match interview he said it was a pre-planned and practiced FG play. Perhaps AD is simply a better kicker at that distance.

All the bands you mentioned inns and many more aussie talent I had seen at a place called Bryants at Manly Vale when me and my surfer mates were young.

The place used to go off, you bought beer by the jug, biggest night was when Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs played everyone was dancing on the tables.

It was ugly and we should have taken a tackle and re-set up for it a play or two later. Something to work on.

Could Galvin be off to the Bears ? Could they have made a backdoor deal with them , so he can be thier franchise player , so a 10 year 15 mil deal or something ?
