Andrew Webster was let go by the Tigers as an assistant.
He seems to be having some success now at Penrith

We really need an injection of youth and new thoughts.

Looking over other clubs coaching rosters the top clubs seem to have assistants with head coach experience or highly regarded future first grade coaches.
I believe this is an area we can and need to improve on. For what ever reason we have no name guys that aren't cutting the mustard our attack and defence sucks. We need results and the best possible coaches available to help Madge.
The footy department need to open there wallets and get the club some tactical minds to help Madge out. Guys like John Morris or even Geoff Toovey should be sounded out to bring in some fresh ideas. Your thoughts?
Seibold available?
Nope working with the Knights.

I know for a fact we have a wrestling coach who pushes them. The guy is as hard as nails.
He is a mate and we talk about the team and about their wrestling. He reckons they should train even harder but he is a nut.
Fighters tend to over train with the belief that the fight should be easy compared to the training. The thing is they fight every couple of months rather than play a game every week.

We did have Webster and he didn't seem to do much for us. But the game has changed a lot and the guys we have are all grumpy old men that don't seem to be able to connect with our players.

Judging by their performances I would've thought our wrestling sessions would've looked something like this

Morris is a head coach. Bring him over and watch the playing group respond.

Well if a team has form/function and looks well drilled and motivated they would be good coaches ...who is good ? that is for the head coach to decide with whom he surrounds himself with .
At this juncture you can only make the assumption that the assistants that the coach has around him are not that flash ..case point watching what is presented each week on the field !

Well you need more than 5 NRL standard players in your team to work with...that’s not excusing anybody as they put the squad together...
Maybe that’s what all this shuffling of selections is about.. they have the players but can’t work out what positions to play them in

Yep I think you've answered your own question here from a few posts ago: who is good and what makes them good?
The biggest factor is the quality of player they are working with, we have seen this time and again but for some reason some people still debunk the theory.
Exhibit A: Trent Barrett. Every man and his dog had a half mongrel over him when he was the Panthers attack coach.....'wow look at what Baz has done to supercharge their attack!' Fast forward a season or 2 to where he is now: he couldn't coach a choko vine over a backyard dunny at the moment. Why is that? Put simply he had super talented players at Penrith. He doesn't have that luxury at Canterbury and his results reflect this.
I can't really think of any assistant coach, attack or defence, that has improved his playing group immensely without having a star-studded roster.
