People are saying that if he goes to souths then the tigers lost him....if that's the case we never really had him and wasn't ours to lose.

@Sabre I still don't understand why Bennett & Souths are a draw card... Wayne is about 70 years old so not much longer to coach and he has taken England nowhere sense taking over. They have lost the Burgess boys, Sutton, Cody walker who performs only in reg season games... I can only assume they will pay him a lot on the side and only pay him around 700k on the actual salary cap... Correct I hate souths...

Whether the club signs Mitchell or not they can’t be blamed for targeting a big name player and missing out. We have historically missed all big name targets and behind the scenes the club has locked up many good young players and not overspent on ageing players.

Madge is a a smart operator and would be looking at other players if this falls over. The issue is not targeting the right players it’s landing their signatures. At least we have ended a respectable 9th the last two years and with board being solid and new COE being built the club should be more attractive moving forward.

The NRL is the most biased salary cap league in the world regarding recruitment every other league in the world big name players almost always end with bad teams paying big money. In the NRL they sign with Souths, Brisbane, Easts, Eels and always take Unders.

Russell has a big spread up at Nana Glen. He might get a horse , a paddock and some cows to play with as a TPA. Not that far from Taree either. Maybe shoot a remake of Bonanza there with Rusty as Ben and Latrelle as Little Joe.

I've watched this whole charade play out for he last few weeks.

Mitchell is neither the be all or end all of anything.

Personally I think at $1m a season he is a huge risk.

If it was my money to spend I would have some real doubts about the value I might get.

I hope we get him but if we don't I'm sure that will work out okay as well. He is getting a good contract and earning that salary is going to be tough.

I think Addo Carr will end up there also. Gagai being offered to Titans to release Arrow early.
That’s actually a good deal for Titans they have 50 props as it is.

Why avo you dont think he deserved to stay if we didnt sign mitchell. Granted he isnt a world beater but no one can question his commitment and effort, considering i thought he was good for us just needs to work on his attack.

No I don't at all. He is all heart and a half decent winger but he is no fullback. If you ever have aspirations of finishing in the 8 he can't be fullback.

If we dont sign Mitchell who do we use going forward out of the players available, its a tough one i agree with you in a way i just dont see anyone else screaming out to madge to make them our fullback next year.

I hear a bit about this "Mole" guy, have just seen a comment by him on Twitter (I don't have a twitter account to copy & paste)

He was asked what was delaying the announcement with LM, was it his management or WT's?

He replied with the following:

"seeing you asked, WT likely to announce LM signing for 4 years Tuesday", (tomorrow)

Till we have some consistent success we will always be a undesirable location for the marquee players. We have to target good players being held back in good systems and hope we strike gold like with Matterson....and keep them!!

We will be in for a very long year with our current roster. Don’t get me wrong they will have a dig but will be outclassed most weeks.

Not blaming the club they had a real shot at Latrell, but at the end of the day we were only ever bait, Latrell was not prepared to take a punt on us...as we were on him. Okay it’s not done and dusted but I think the betting companies are willing to pay out that he is not coming to Concord
