I loved Paul Walker (RIP) in Fast & Furious.
Now there's a new namesake who (if he comes here) will be a God to the Wests Tigers fans!

Strike a light - Mr Walker sure ticks a few boxes:

A player who can convert tries - 4 becomes 6 tick
An attacking weapon not seen since Teddy tick
Indigenous - shades of all those before him in our team colours tick
A potential face of the club - guaranteed popular draw card tick
A State and Australian representative tick
Youthful and his best years in front of him tick
A key attraction to encourage new players to become Tigers in the future tick
A sponsor's dream tick

What's not to like??

Mr Walker??

Whoops - got carried away there, too much distraction - I meant to say Mitchell!!

Thanks champion avacadoontoast.

I seem to recall a couple of Howlers from LM at fullback pre-Teddy. He was very young then 19-20 but the Roosters did target Teddy as they obviously recognised LM was not the guy they wanted at FB going forward.

It does beg the question as to whether LM can make it as a top flight fullback. We are certainly paying him as one.

He's an incredible talent, no doubt.

He would be a great signing. But can he play FB?

He's an excellent centre, that's all I've seen so far from his time at the Rorters.

I'm not sold.

Looks like he enjoys carving Penrith up. Can only be a good thing.

New to the WT forum and love the banter ladies and gents.

My two cents - I'm not sure if LM is the right fit for our club. He's unproven as a FB, seems flaky when making decisions (regardless of management) and Madge is a no nonsense coach that won't accept mediocrity. So there's a possible head clash in the future.

It feels like a possible speculative signing for the sake of signing a 'marquee 'player.

Might be wrong, but I hope to be proven wrong.

In Madge we trust
EEYAH TIGER!

Welcome to the forum. The other thing about LM that just dawned on me and shows another upside to him coming, first let me just say it may just be my own perception the mods would know for sure, but i cant remember a time so many long time followers heave registered on the forum to voice an opinion. There seems to be heaps of people registering to have a say about LM i think its great, thats just on the forum imagine the extra interest and exposure the club would receive in the public.

What I find interesting is that we pulled our offer because we have more irons in the fire.....but we are yet to see, apart from Leilua, anything else of any substance......
My impression would have been that ok we've pulled our offer and we have now made offers to X,Y,Z.....
Still haven't heard anything....

Well I think we had a crack at both Moylan and Milford after we withdrew our offer to Latrell, but they are staying put. We also enquired after JAC, but Bellyache won't release him, so I think all of our irons have been snuffed out. Hence, our re-interest in signing Latrell. Sadly we never got the chance to offer Brimson anything as our offer to Mitchell was still on the table when he re-signed with the Titans.

Tigers Never interested in Milford

How are people still debating if LM would be a good signing? If he only lives up to a fraction of what we expect, he’s still a better No.1 option. Plus he kicks.

Plus! The club just needs a “win”. Signing LM would do wonders for members, sponsors and the general feel for the club. Worried that he’s “unproven” in fullback just boggles the mind. If the club is lucky enough to convince the kid to play for the tigers it would be a master stroke ( or a large bag or cash) either way, win win.

A lot of people are using primary school level Rugby League knowledge to hide their true feelings that they just don't like this guy. Or any ego players for that matter. Happy to finish 9th this lot.

More important to be a "good bloke" than have talent.

With you there Pat. There's not much out there and we have a cap allowance to spend. Best off taking one of the best proven names in the market. He has everything we lack. Nonsense about not singing the anthem and taking his time making decisions are not legitimate reasons not to have him here.

We will be a better team for having him here.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only thing I hate about the bloke is the jersey he's worn for the last four seasons. That would evaporate if he wore ours.

Would he have time for a bit of parading? It's the clubs biggest ever signing, it won't be just an announcement.

They can stagger this and maximise impact.
Will generate a lot, traffic, media and memberships. We aren’t in a one press conference world anymore.

Also given what he has been through, probably wants some time out of the media. I would
