Thanks fellas.

Totally agree, he can kick and he's a big body that can get over the line, but I'm also a fan of our youth.

I think we need to build WT internally first.

EXCLUSIVE INSIGHT

Latrell Mitchell’s priority this whole time has been to play with the Roosters for 2020, explore his options and test his market value and make a decision at the end of the year for 2021 which he is perfectly entitled to do so.

However, all this changed when the Roosters pulled the 800k a year offer and as of yesterday officially let him know there was 0% chance he wears the tri colours beyond 2020 which understandably brought him to tears as he has been apart of the club since he was 15.

Latrell Mitchell had actually verbally agreed to terms with the Wests Tigers roughly a fortnight ago as there is interest in joining the club.... however had a change of heart and wanted to get the confirmation from the Roosters face to face about there contract offer before he did anything official.

When the Wests Tigers learned of Latrell backing off and taking his time with the process, they had pulled there offer (with no ill will towards Latrell) more just so they had the flexibility to sign other players if they had decided to do so

During the meeting with uncle nick, Latrell had brought up how he felt stressed and the reality of him moving forward became real this led Nick Politis to call the chairman of the Wests Tigers on behalf of the Wests Tigers in order to see where the stance on was with the contract offer and if they were willing to bring it back - in which Lee (chairman) agreed too on behalf of the club

Now at this point, discussion between Latrell and the Wests Tigers are back on and who knows what will happen next

At this point it looks set, barring an introduction of a surprise team which seems unlikely - the romance between Latrell and the Wests Tigers looks set to be official sooner rather than later!

It may have happened , but I can't see an NRL Chairman ringing another NRL Chairman on behalf of a player ..especially a player who seems to need consult multiple people 1st

This is a professional sport and the saying about not giving a sucker an even break is real

If Politis managed to help the deal that possibly helped the WT's into a future stronghold they would want his cajones as earrings

Would Politis help an opposition car dealership out with one of his ex top salespeople ...absolutely not

I have no doubt it would happen, I am sure Politis doesn't want Latrell to end up on the scrap heap at 22.

Then he'd be pushing him to ESL or Rah Rah

Welcome mate ...don't worry I forgot as well he played half a season at fullback with the Roosters before Tedesco joined them

Think from memory he was interchanging with Michael Gordon

What I find interesting is that we pulled our offer because we have more irons in the fire.....but we are yet to see, apart from Leilua, anything else of any substance......
My impression would have been that ok we've pulled our offer and we have now made offers to X,Y,Z.....
Still haven't heard anything....

Well I think we had a crack at both Moylan and Milford after we withdrew our offer to Latrell, but they are staying put. We also enquired after JAC, but Bellyache won't release him, so I think all of our irons have been snuffed out. Hence, our re-interest in signing Latrell. Sadly we never got the chance to offer Brimson anything as our offer to Mitchell was still on the table when he re-signed with the Titans.

We were not interested in Moylan as he wanted 4 year deal & we did not feel comfortable with this.
Milf - We did not try to sign him at all...
Both Media blow ups to sell papers..

They have said they will keep him for 2020, but don't have a place for him in 2021, I don't think its unfeasible to believe that an administrator at a club would assist in his transition to another club. I'm not saying that is what happened just disagreeing with you that it couldn't happen.

How are people still debating if LM would be a good signing? If he only lives up to a fraction of what we expect, he’s still a better No.1 option. Plus he kicks.

Plus! The club just needs a “win”. Signing LM would do wonders for members, sponsors and the general feel for the club. Worried that he’s “unproven” in fullback just boggles the mind. If the club is lucky enough to convince the kid to play for the tigers it would be a master stroke ( or a large bag or cash) either way, win win.

A lot of people are using primary school level Rugby League knowledge to hide their true feelings that they just don't like this guy. Or any ego players for that matter. Happy to finish 9th this lot.

More important to be a "good bloke" than have talent.

I just want to buy finals tickets to watch my team. Any player that can get me that will be a good bloke in my eyes.

That would make him a great bloke in my books
