I hope that your post was a bit of sarcasm, because if that happens Madge and Pascoe will cause a riot.

I reckon there is an excellent chance we'll take Johnston of them if LM goes there.

He's about as good as Jennings.

Will be some salary cap wizardry if Souths can find the money at this point for 2020. Trel will be at tigers training jan 6th.

Has Latrell signed the contract...?

Have the chooks released him yet ?

Thanks mate hope you are right, but the NRL seem to let a few clubs do some salary cap wizardry, and souths are one of those clubs

I’m going to be away from the Internet for 10 days, I wonder if anything will change in that time.
I doubt it!!!!

Don't hold your breath mate, and don't expect miracles, you will probably come back to the signings of Johnston and Gagai

I hope that your post was a bit of sarcasm, because if that happens Madge and Pascoe will cause a riot.

I wouldn't take a single player from Souths.

You say this, yet when is he making his decision? An announcement would be needed in a day or two

Why? He’s contracted for next season. And training doesn’t kick off fulltime til next year. Let it breathe

Why? Becuase most people involved in the official proceedings of signing a contract including staff at WT, Roosters, the NRL and lawyers etc will all be on leave from 23 December - 2 Jan at least, if not the 20th- 6 Jan like many employees around the country. It's not as simple as releasing an insta post, there's paperwork involved and someone needs to be processing those papers

If he comes to WT, with everything pretty well public knowledge, I do not expect a prior announcement from the chooks, with the tigers simply stating that they thank them for allowing Latrell to be at the club in 2020 etcetera at the contract unveiling. Of course, there would be a public statement, but as it is not in season, I expect it to be similar to when Luciano was recently confirmed, just with more hype.

Jennings looks a million bucks at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him perform much better in 2020 (granted he’s coming off a low base)

For how long?

12 month contract or more?

U reckon Pascoe wouldn’t come in a day off to sort it out ?

Here’s how Souths get around the latrell money issue

2020- $500k
2021 -700k
2022 - 7 million and medical retirement due to mental health reasons

Well if you're right fair props to you as you'd have better information than everyone. Media, Roosters fans, Souths fans all think he's pretty much a done deal there.

They (Souths ) are supremely confident. A mate from their forum reckons Tigers have organised a final meeting tomorrow with Lattrell for one last dip. They are trying to get their deal done ASAP to kill that offer.

I would love to see the smiles wiped off their faces at the last minute.

that will do for me! wohoo! yay!

correct me if i'm wrong but the tigers haven't signed any significant player recently have they? Which would seem strange. Perhaps that points to our eggs being in the LM basket.

or we just haven't signed anyone with all our cap space for 2020 and don't intend to use the money. nor have i seen the tigers linked to anyone? Season kicks off in 8-10 weeks

Would be some amazing salary cap gymnastics for them to pull it off. Gotta find suitors for 2-3 players when walker resigns then comp some of their salary to their new clubs. Withdraw arrow offer, sign latrell for below market value and get away with it. And load up 3rd party deals before training starts to have is contract registered and approved.
