No way the Cowboys can afford Holmes and him. If he signed there, I would be petitioning a royal commission into the NRL. Well maybe not quite.

LM is a done deal...just doing the marketing strategy around the announcement.before its officially out

How do you know this? Please don’t tell me your source is a friend of a friend of a teammate who went to a bbq with Mitchell or some crap like that. If you’re making a statement like this then there needs to be a legitimate source behind it.

Just take it for what it is. Some people simply cannot reveal their sources as it would compromise their ability to get info later on.

Mate I get that, but every second poster on this forum has been coming out with statements like this on this thread and they’ve all turned out to be rubbish. I’m just getting sick of being led up the garden path by people who claim to know things going on behind the scenes when they really know nothing at all!

So don't take notice. If I'm being honest I only pay attention to one poster about the goings on of the club as they have a relatively decent strike rate (not always 100% as things change so quickly in RL.) Willow knows someone at Easts so I'll give a bit of weight to what he says when he speaks of Easts.

You tend to figure out quickly which ones are getting dud info and which aren't. Just ride it out.

Just my gut feeling but I reckon Mitchell doesn't want to come to the Tigers otherwise the deal would have been done and dusted already. I believe he still has other clubs in his ear behind the scenes i.e South's telling him to hold off until they can get stuff sorted. If we were the last club standing it would have been done by now. Just my gut feeling though hope I'm wrong.

@Tcat I have a connection with someone who works for the Roosters, he told me last night its "as good as done".

They are working out the finer points of his WT contract and the release from his 2020 year of the Roosters contract.

As this will be our biggest ever signing, the WT marketing Dept are working overtime to make the most out of this when its formally announced....They are in no hurry to announce this and are keen to "get it right"

@tigerap Thanks for the reply mate. As many have said, hard to know what to believe. I hope you're right mate. Fingers crossed.

The forum that praises the club for plugging all its leaks is sweating on a leak. Every little drip.

Hope you are correct but love how they are in no hurry but us fans are getting Grumpier every day this goes on due to lack of sleep..

@hsvjones I'm with you...but the WT are a different club to the past...much tighter ship with Lee and Madge in charge...

Roosters have re-signed JWH. Guessing they know they have some cash freed up for next year. Also maybe trying to give their fans some good news ahead of some less good.

Was thinking the same. Usually clubs hold off on negative news to announce it a day or so after good news.

Might be how the Roosters are playing it.

Their fans will all fall in behind "Lattrell is greedy, I'd rather keep JWH" blah blah blah. Of course Lattrell could be just about to sign for the Cowboys/Souths/Waratahs/Toronto Wolfpack/French Foreign Legion for all I know...

JWH? But he's over the hill and crap and the Roosters know when to keep them and when to let them go and he'd be a typical Tigers signing and we'd be played for patsies again...and so on.

well FWIW ive just been told that earlier in the week he was going to be a tiger but is now wanting to be a cowboy. nq are currently scrounging around to see if they can fit he and holmes together (holmes is still their first target). tigers are aware of this and filthy as they were expecting it to be finalised today

This week's signings certainly seemed to be building to a big finish, a big announcement made today. Here's hoping...
