It’s called good coaching, it’s a matter of seeing what can be done within certain situations.
Farah And matterson are a significant loss, marsters not so much, he went a bit stale imo.
We have players that can come out next season and showcase a lot of improvement.
Basically what your saying is, our players are incapable of improvement, therefore we won’t be any better.
That’s just looking at the cup half empty.
We have a lot of players who are yet to show there worth, I expect them to step up, I expect Madge to use this offseason to focus on players strengths and weaknesses and assign player roles accordingly.

Your last sentence pretty much describes what every coach tries to achieve every off season. Hardly profound.

@Geo How do you think this will play out mate?

A good chance Latrell Mitchell will be a Wests Tiger..

If not we will have a good amount of money to sign someone else...

Care elaborating on someone else /back up plan /plan c /plan d

Anyone Contracts mean nothing..I would be looking hard at Munster..rumour has it cough Watto he is unhappy at the Storm

Then we just need to convince him that the WT's are a better option than the other 14 clubs .....see the issue ...maybe that is the method behind the Roosters madness .....

Waaaa...stick with Parra slimey

And you don’t think Madge is capable?
I’m just saying, I believe we have enough talent to cover the 3 players mentioned who left.
Just a matter of replacing them with the right players.
Which I think will be achieved throughout the off season, only time will tell how effective it will be.
I for one, shall remain positive.

Who else is available if not Mitchell is the big question on people's lips now, i think we are backed into a corner in some respects. Thanks for the info btw.

Who have we missed is the question on my lips. Capewell &Tetevano are the only ones we have missed and Im glad with both (for different reasons).

I didn't say he wasn't capable. My point was you stating something totally obvious. Almost as obvious as saying something like Madge will be trying to win us a premiership in 2020.

What i'm saying is we don't have the cattle to make the 8 and unless we buy a few good players, we're probably going to finish bottom 4. I think Madge is a good coach but he's not a miracle worker, he can only work with what he's got.

The reality is our 1-5 is probably the worst in the comp. Our halves can hold their own and some of middle forwards are really good (Mikaele, Twal, Aloiai in particular). Our backrow is a real concern though. With the exception of Garner we have nothing.

@Glenn5150 Off the top of my head Brimson was a rumoured target as was Philip Sami and potentially theres Lomax as well JWH the ones you mentioned the list is possibly bigger than that. Who know's if others may have been shopped re signed now ect
Also what about Nathan Brown there was a lot of talk about him a couple of weeks ago, theres nothing now, might have just been talk but behind the scenes there could have been wheeling and dealings that have taken a back seat to LM.

"The latest rumour is that barring a change of heart from Wests Tigers, Latrell will be playing 2020 in the backline for North Sydney."

Yes but all of those players stayed at their own clubs, didnt leave. May be many reasons for that and as a result may have not actually been available. Capewell & Tetevano so far are the only players prepared to leave their club.

The ‘Obvious’ statement was necessary.

If that’s true we have most likely give him the hurry up, which is fine, we move on to plan B, we can’t wait forever

I'm getting the feeling WT are about to walk away. If so hope we do it with dignity and leave no open door statement for Mitchell.

Edit- if true this season in reserves we all know where he is going to end up in 2021- Souths.
