LIVE 9's Thread*

Just watching the womens team play.To be honest they look far more competive than we do and play to their strengths.

Naiqama, Rankin, Littlejohn very ordinary.

None of these three are NRL standard. There a quite a few forum members suggesting LJL should replace Brooks. I think we can all see LJL is too slow and not up to it, None of the three should be anywhere near the NRL this year.

Anyone still got questions about our depth this year??? Scarey

We have great depth. Our top 17 has a number of players that are not up to 1st grade standard, and we have plenty more at that level in the lower grades that could be called upon.

Like who? And are they ready yet?

If anything I just want to thank everyone for your feelings about our display vs the Knights.
Not even bothered watching it now when I get home with what I left to record.

Happy New Year and welcome to the first Wests Tigers CEO Update for 2017.

I’m sure you’re all as excited as we are at Wests Tigers to have football back this weekend! The Auckland Nines provide us a great opportunity to showcase our young talent of the future and provide them with a chance to experience playing in front of a big crowd at a major event.

I’d like to wish our team the best of luck for the coming two days of football, **I’m sure you’ll do yourselves, our Club and our Members proud.** I’d also like to congratulate Elijah Taylor on being named Captain of our side and Sauaso Sue on being named Vice-Captain. This is a great reward for two outstanding young men who continue to embody our Club values in everything they do.

Bollocks!

From the first ball kicked in any pre season game the pride and passion
In the jersey and the club you are playing for should be evident …you can not switch these emotions on when it suits..I must say the coach seems to be devoid of any passion which intune flows down to the team.Watching many of these pretenders is wearing very thin ,Naigama given a great pass in the clear and drops it cold he is the epitome of what is wrong with this club unprofessional.

Have a go at Penrith team with only one freeking first grader having a real red hot crack and taking it to the Sharks…. Something to be proud of
All to rare with us... Once or twice a year maybe

No mention of Mcllwrick?
I haven't seen much of him so was interested to see what he had.
Would of liked to see some spark around the ruck or something half creative, don't think we'll be seeing much of him in first grade which will probably be a good thing.

You might aswell not even mention the 9's in your CEO report and just talk about how the pre season has gone so far.

It might be a Mickey Mouse Comp for JT and the Football Club but don't make us look more embarrassing with what it sounds to be an embarrassing display.
Had to withstand some Banter from mates texting me how my side got beaten by the Knights.

Those in the lower grades that are not up to first grade standard include JLJ, Hunt. Are they ready? I think they are as good as they will ever be.

I could understand us picking a 2nd string squad if we had another trial tonight of more importance

We have a young squad and extra 50 minutes of 9's footy over the course of an entire season wouldn't have done them any harm

How can we take our team seriously if they don't take every game with 100% dedication and commitment

Really disappointed with this , I was at a sports store in Rockhampton watching this while getting the daughter and EB footy /netball shoes and walked out after 5 minutes

The Warriors don't seem to care either, and they are perennial favourites. So we're not the only ones.

I think Brooks was only taken over there as a requirement of naming one of your top 5 highest earners. Doubt he will even get on the field at all.
Unless JT pulls the coaching masterstroke of playing his strongest side available in game 3 after we have lost the first 2 games and there is absolutely ZERO to play for. That would not surprise in the slightest.
Our sponsors must be overjoyed when they hear our club is not interested in competing hard for the 9's tournament and played accordingly. The boys better pull their fingers outta their Ahab's in the next game.

Simona
Aloiai
Edwards
Ava
Heleta
Hunt
Mcillwrick
Chee Kam
Rankin

Bench: suli, marsters, Brooks, Felise, JLJ

Taylor was our best in game 1 and they rest him. Rankin should get a job as a forklift driver.

Don't blame the players , blame the people he picked an understrength squad and the management who then allowed to pick that squad

The accountability at this club just does not change , does it , no matter how much they try and convince us otherwise
