Maybe so but learning skills while opposed in training makes them second nature on game day.
I’ve seen videos of training in other sports( EPL, NFL and AFL), and ut us a key part of the skill set required to be a good footballer. And they practice over and over.
We assume( always dangerous) because they are in first grade they can do it. Eg Lots of footballers can only pass well on one side etc which to me is a sin.
Imo if coaches are not doing it they should.

I think I mentioned earlier in the week that imo the captaincy was being used as a motivational tool for today, and possibly re/signing.
I’m not sure when the full squad gets back on deck they will respond to that because he’s not what I call a natural leader.
I still think that Hastings would be my preference . Good football brain and natural talker( from what I’ve read) And therein lies a problem with having AD motivated without that added reward.

Tough one, I’d say no more than a 6/10 because I don’t think he influenced or motivated those around him. He was solid but as a gun( supposed) he could have done more imo.
If you watch Brown or Munster bouncing around every game you can then see the difference.

There is a difference between effort and dub play mate. They lacked concentration and footy brains not lack of effort.
Like standing in front of the line, dumb dumb, not effort just switched off or doesn't know the rules, confused maybe.
Coaching this team is going to be a challenge for Sheens. The outcome will decide if it was a bad idea or not his appointment.

And Sheens will not be coaching this same team - 2023 will be a different version.
 
Hardly an ideal situation for AD to return to after a major injury. The team is in disarray due to injury, releasing players. interim coach, and some questionable leadership. The leadership set the standard for this year and if the players are not responding well the decision makers need to accept their part in it. He isn't going well but it is hardly an environment that any player could thrive in - hence our position.

I think Junior thought if it doesn’t go 10 metres nothing else matters. The fact that he stood there like a statue and made no effort to get out of the way reinforced that.

I think that apart from the loan players ( and Oliver wasn’t even in our top team) unexpected injuries have played a part in the recent make up of our team. So it’s nobodies team, it’s the team we have at present.
Of course Sheens and co will have a very different line up next year( hopefully much better and sharper ) and a lot of these guys will be playing early in the day.
We may even end up having a strong NSW cup side which would be good for the club. But we do need to rename them WT ( sorry Magpie63 but I’m sure you catch my drift).

Yeh me too.
Also something flashed through my mind. You know how sometimes you stand there for an up an under to cover the tap back.
It's a shame because I thought he had a couple of good runs and tried hard.
Once again it was dumb things that let us down. He hasnt played much NRL which I know isn't a big excuse but there is a difference between KOE and NRL.
The use of our bench still has me scratching my head. Madge did the same thing though.

Not sure that Madge or Noddy really know how to use the bench, and it’s so important these days. No only on game day but starting with their choice of personnel on Tuesdays.
 
its clear our players are devoid of coaching…..to start with all players should know the fundamentals…..our guys are clueless

Keep smiling Lauren, I’ve been following this club for 60 years and the good times I’ve had watching and supporting them outweigh the bad. And that includes plenty of dark days.
When you follow the Tigers, it’s for life !
