The important word you used was "future". Sacking players without self esteem and replacing them with new young players who want to show their talent and really want to play will pay dividends in the future.

Hello, yeah I'm here. Feeling a bit like the farmer and cow that I just saw on the news with it's owner in a kayak holding it's head to keep it's nose above the flood water and clinging on to life, but still not giving up on him.

Maybe Luke has lost that which he had or his natural game and little confidence he started with has slowly been coached out of him over the past couple of years or so.

If there is one thing that really annoys me it is hearing Maguire talk about the areas of his game they are working on, when like a hobbled Liddle of last week that was allowed to play more of his natural game this afternoon, I want to see the same Luke that was given support to play his own game by the Traitor.

Maguire wanted the player that he had when he arrived signed for an additional year, yet for mine then wanted to change that same player and the shell of the former Luke that we only see glimpses of remains.

Our backs were crap, but the problem also is that out nsw cup backline is also crap. No players pushing for promotion or putting pressure on NRL players.

I doubt the coach would instruct him to kick the ball dead .
If it’s a confidence issue Brooks is in the wrong trade !

The only thing I think I'll say is that while I wasn't expecting us to click immediately, I did think we'd be playing with more urgency and working on combos. Probably doesn't help who our opposition teams have been but there's disappointment not seeing our halves effectively link with our backs and build combinations.
We've had things that have worked for us in the past be modified by Madge I.e. Joey & Nofo combo, Garner & Brooks. Though I'm no fan of a couple of those players at present.

Everything is feeling like a paradox at the moment.
