Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

I thought Brooksy had pretty much his usual game. His strengths are running, tackling and passing. While he didn’t run much , his passes found their mark. The pass to elastic man Luci was well timed because he wasn’t under pressure, similarly when he went long to Nofa.
Hastings definitely condensed the middle third, something we’ve not had.

Great to see some posts like this.

The team comes first.

🔥🔥🔥

Can't wait to see Adam back.
RE: Doeuhi - Remember what he is coming back from though. Whether you love him or not, it will be a good few months to go past the mental demons of a knee injury, like all good players. Don't expect anything from him this year at all to be fair.

That's right bra.

He's looking good tho.
It's a marathon, not a race.
No rush.

Yesterday was the first game we have won since the start of 2021 that Doueihi hasn't played in.
We were 8 wins 12 losses last year in the games he did play in

Madge talked about it pre-game. Our backline previous was robotic and predictable. Need to throw shapes at them . Brooks is in for a big year at 5/8 if he stays fit. Would love to see him restructure his deal to benefit the club.

He had an awesome game, Hastings gave him the freedom to just do his thing. He has never been an organising half and never will be, if Madge can manage that for him maybe we can get the old Luke Brooks back. Iv been critical of his past performances for this season but I would give anything for Brooks to get back to his best form, on his day he is as good as anyone. My issue was there just were not too many of those recently.

The tactic of passing and turning forwards back on the inside was most important and effective for mine, as it often held the opposition slide defence there that fraction of a second longer.

Give him some more potent attacking weapons wider and he’ll go even better. I think when he plays with freedom he’s up there with the Keary’s etc

Hastings freeing him up was night and day compared to his past performances, I figured it would help but had no idea how much. Plus Hastings has always been a footballer, Mark my words if he's fit next year if we make the 8 or not he's in the running for the Dailey M.

Hopefully they take points off each other. It’s good to have a halves pairing to get excited about. Let’s see them get over south’s before we piss in their pocket too much lol

I thought our forwards stood up. We had 4 run over 100mt and 4 with tackle efficiency’s above 90%. That also created plenty of work for the Eels middle.

I know right we have been here before, we put in a great performance then fall off the next week.
