We have no reason to let Brooks go right now. He’s picked up his game since magic round and been one of our better performers.

Hastings might beat him to the 7 jersey but he might not given so many players arrive here and suddenly forget how to play.

If Brooks is being outplayed by Hastings next year and is in reserves, release him then.

Good teams/businesses/managers know when to hold them when to fold them.
Like Brooks always have always will.
But we are going through a period of CHANGE of not only roster but approach and a player like Hastings was HEAD HUNTED to drive that.
Now Brooks has been in probably his best form since 2018 this past couple of months.
His stocks are HIGH.
Sharks are at this stage having sacked their 2 HALFBACKS are looking to keep one FIVE EIGHT/FULLBACK and pair him with another FIVE EIGHT/FULLBACK.
There chances next year are extremely LOW.
A Brooks Nicko pairing would make plenty of sense.
So much so that they may just take Brooks at FULL FREIGHT.

Is that not a reason to oblige?

We have plenty of money. Money is not the issue. It is our inability to attract talent that is the issue. Giving away the little we have does not seem to be a particularly sound strategy.

If not for money, Maybe a player trade. Wilton, Williams, Nikoria?
If there is nothing in it there would be no noise.
But someone from the Tigers is ringing around susing out the possibility and we all know it’s not to know where we should value him for his next contract extension.

Next year i think Hastings and Brooks will both be in the team somewhere. Along with Douehi and Laurie. They are the 4 which will drive the team.

Good on you mate. It’d be a really poor decision if it eventuates, this club just seems to lurch from one horror to another, starting to think the leaders were planted to kill the joint off.

I know winning games will make this rubbish go away, but I don’t understand the constant bashing of the club in the media.

Bulldogs have finished well below us for the last 4 years. Same deal with the Cowboys. You hardly hear anything negative about them.

I suppose it’s because of the big supporter base we have but the attacks are relentless and really hurting the club’s ability to attract players.

18 years of mediocrity will do that.

When the guy at the top keeps talking publicly flapping the gums so to speak it just gives them ammunition. I don't disagree that there is an agenda, but it's not something from this year. It's been going on for near a decade (getting worse) and in that time the Chair, CEO, coaches and players have all changed. The only constant is the board. What happened tonight was disrespectful, unnecessary and to be honest gave me the shits however we keep bringing this crap on ourselves. I've been a broken record on this but there is a distinct lack of leadership in this club. The one thing Kent said that is accurate is Wests Tigers still haven't worked out what Wests Tigers is. It's ridiculous after 2 decades to still not have worked it out. Hopefully Sheens can do something, but i won't be holding my breath.

The main example of not working out what the club is how about 6 home grounds .. this is a BOARD issue settle on a home .

We need to keep a core group of players who are WT DNA.
Brooks & Deouhi are both local juniors and are passionate about the club. Need to keep both if them and our young group of Ute, Seyfarth, Blore, Laurie, TT. Build around them.

If the club is just filled with mercenaries we aren't a club and we lose our soul - instead we are a 'franchise'.

Trouble is their rumours often play out in real life, much to our dismay. Lots of us enjoy the way Brooksy represents the jersey, and we don’t say that about too many current WT players.
