Coaching:

Madge has failed us.
I believe he can offer the young guys some insight though on what it takes to become a first grader.
Welcome our new KOE coach: Michael Maguire.
I hope he enjoys the new role and understands, it isn't to break them but prepare them for the hard road ahead of playing first grade.

Head coach: the NEW genius coach

By all reports this guy is as hard as Madge but can get the boys playing for him.
He will lead us to the holy land.

Assistant coaches:
John Morris
Robbie Farah
Brett Kimmorley

The heart broken lost son and the banished prince 2.0 return... again.
These guys have some football smarts and will add some dynamic to the coaching box.
Farah is too important to be running water.
I've spoken to Brett in depth and he's a Matty Johns x Cooper Cronk type. Understands the game and what it takes to win.

2 thumbs down on this post.
I made the statement about bringing in Brett Kimmorley and a week later he's brought in.

Just wanted bring attention to this.
Another 1 in the bank.

??

I hear what you’re saying , but look at guys like Jason Taylor , Seibold , and now O’Brien at newy. All supposed footy savants , who lack the leadership qualities to be a head coach . I think we should change the title from Head coach to manager , as it’s increasingly obvious that today’s coaches are becoming more and more like football managers.
And in saying that , they all need footy savants underneath them .Guys who can come up with the ideas , but lack that leadership quality to execute it in a game day scenario.

I think Madge is a manager , I also think his recent decisions to change the team around , and blow up our defensive structures , and fine tune out attacking ones , have to prove how smart the bloke is. Even if they weren’t his ideas . Sure he stuck to the “ up and in way” too long , but he has pivoted to a slide defence , and a compressed middle . This has to count for something .

Also whoever told Brooks he didn’t need to get through every gap , but rather just slide on the outside or inside of his man everytime , is really clever in its simplicity. This is made all the more dangerous with how Garner just sits off his hip , between the 2 defenders . It forces the defence into a no win situation.
Before brooks would engage his direct defender , then push the pass , often a hospital ball.
Now engaged between the defenders at the last second , like I said forcing the centre/half to engage him , creating the space for Garner , or Laurie out the back . At worse it’s an extra 10 metres , at best it’s line break city . That whole sequence looks to be coached to me . If it’s Millard or Gardner or Madge . It’s just real clever .

Brett is involved in pathways or development... something like that.

But it goes to show, the club knows he's worth employing...

And I was also right.

?????

Well they should , they did it once before , and if memory strikes correctly , it was Brett who bailed on us . “Due to family reasons” . Taylor was the coach at the time Or Potter . Maybe he didn’t want the headaches of coaching but liked development and 1 on 1 skill building . Win win for everyone .

His wife did die a few years ago with brain cancer. Family reasons for kimmorley seem pretty legitimate

The guy strikes me as a straight up worker.
No nonsense.

Isn't in it for the limelight....like Cronk.
And actually has some insight... like Joey pretends to have.

I'm stoked he's involved at our club and 100% that's a legit reason.

Agree with Kimmorley and the cricket guy (sorry his name just escapes atm) appointments, but not a big fan of Sheens coming back (too many chiefs), so will be interesting how that plays out?

Yep I noticed the change with Brooks..and Mbye was doing the same..so simple but instantly effective. Made me wonder whether Sheens has been providing some input from afar as that is the stuff he was really good at developing

Just pointing out I suggested Brett, albeit in a different role but the club brought him back anyway.

Making the right moves.

Agree with Kimmorley and the cricket guy (sorry his name just escapes atm) appointments, but not a big fan of Sheens coming back (too many chiefs), so will be interesting how that plays out?

Need to promote Farah and bring Johnny Cronk in next.

I'd love to see Michael Chieka involved too.

Farah to what position?

Are you referring to Cooper?
Great player, but I am not a huge fan, not sure his head would fit though our doors?

Love the idea of Michael Chieka though?

Farah, Assistant coach.
The box full of old guys, get Farah in there.

Johnny Cronk is an old forum nickname for John Morris.

Chieka is at the roosters eh and he's Douiheis uncle or cousin or something.

Morris has signed with the Rabbits.

Just what we need, another Lebanese bloke, the place is full of them???

We are to be;
What Rabbitohs are to the indigenous community, but Lebanese and Wests Tigers.

A team the Bulldogs wish they could be.

Let's Go.

Is it a coincidence that WT'S have been winning games since Robbie Farah has returned and as mentioned on Ch9 Footy Show the effect having Tim Sheens in the room when talking to parents of potential WT'S Signing as said something WT'S have lacked over the years we finally have someone with cred and a statement of the game.

The Farah thing to me is important. Not as a trainer or whatever, but as a statement that this is a football club and not a transient team of mercenaries and off cuts. Sheens fits that bill too and I think getting a lot of guys in young will add to that.

Farah + Sheens not only represent three top 4 finishes but also a continuation of the club as a, for want of a better term, “band of brothers”, who are committed to a greater cause not themselves.

BEN GARDINER
By all reports this guy is as hard as Madge but can get the boys playing for him.
He will lead us to the holy land.

Assistant coaches:
John Morris
Robbie Farah
Brett Kimmorley

The heart broken lost son and the banished prince 2.0 return... again.
These guys have some football smarts and will add some dynamic to the coaching box.
Farah is too important to be running water.
I've spoken to Brett in depth and he's a Matty Johns x Cooper Cronk type. Understands the game and what it takes to win.

I wasn’t saying it wasn’t . Just pointing out , the schmozzle the joint was , would have made it a lot easier decision .

Sorry, but I would suggest you got the thumbs down, for your suggestion that you wanted Madge gone and move the reserve grade coach up.

Flawless.

Should be pushing ourselves as the #1 destination for middle eastern talent.

Get Farah on board with that pretty easy.

I don't really care about a marquee signing. How often do clubs sign marquee players and don't get value for money. I just want a team with no weaknesses. Every player knows their role and performs consistently to the best of their ability. If we have no weaknesses we will win more games then we lose and this winning culture will attract other talent.
