MATT LODGE...

As far as incidents go, this is pretty minor.

He'll be told to pull his head in and get on with it.

There will be no sacking here.

You can get kicked out of clubs for all sorts of reasons. Granted I'm tipping Lodge had a skinful, but I was asked to leave Panthers for being "intoxicated" when I was merely drugged up by medication while battling the flu. I was only there to have dinner.

It is a very sad state of affairs if players are sacked for this. As said above, getting kicked out of a club for drunkenness is a non event for the general public and as per Jerry's comment, big scary drunk bloke probably frightened the bouncers. Slap on the wrist.

Thats funny CB,

Im curious, How did you alert security if you were in the restaurant??

Showing up screaming Penriff are scum and throwing darts at the pictures of Gus in a WT's jersey probably didn't help Spartan

Because at Panthers you have to walk through the lobby to get to the restaurants, and get your members card or ID checked. Walking up to security drugged to the eyeballs with sunken eyes and looking completely lethargic did me no favours.

CB,it must have been when you heard some bad news about the WTs and forgot you already took the dose of Valium on top of the flu medication..ha ha ha…

I remember a certain Brisbane Easts supporter who said his temper was just fine

Possibly not ??

Perfect temper for a Prop… Nothing issue and very surprised this made its way into the press.

Wonder who leaked it?!

lol… as funny as this sounds, stay bloody home when you have the flu CB!

Strange peeps are defending him.

The bloke knows he is under scrutiny, gets asked to leave and doesnt and gets arrested.

He must have gone on like a tool cos cops really dont wanna do it….they will try and talk u out of it for sure.

And....im not in the public eye, love a skinful, have been kicked a few times and i have NEVER argued, always left and never got arrested.....its just stupid,

I'll take Geo's stance and blame Sheens

3 issues in less than a season is a worry Watto

He wasn't arrested for being kicked out, he was arrested for refusing to leave.

Packer stomped on someone's head
Ferguson groped a girl
Lui bashed his girlfriend TWICE
All will play this year, Lodge asked to leave establishment….. Nothing to see here PLAY ON

That's why he is set to play in the front row in the toughest competition in the world, and why we sit here wishing we did/had. Aggression and not so smart, never goes well on the grog, but this is hardly sackable unless there's a lot more to it

Obeying the law…no matter how harsh or OTT we may think some of them are, is the very basis of civility in society, these laws have been drafted for reasons - reasons that at the extreme end of the scale are a matter of life and death.
Being intoxicated is no excuse, it happening to many on a regular basis every w/end is no excuse...he's screwed up again plain and simple....none of the other players managed to. He needs to grow up fast.

He sounds like a complete douchebag as a person.

Hes young hes drunk hes in a nightclub(NOT ILLEGAL) **some idiot bouncer is probably jealous that some footballer is getting more eye candy than he and his "fully sick" body is and is too much of a wuss to cop it**.Happens all the time.He hasnt bashed a woman or a taxi driver or anything else violent or immoral.Let him be a young man.

I'd be willing to bet the average joe on the street wouldn't even know him or recognize him as a footballer, i wouldn't even know the guy if i tripped over him and i'm a supporter. We're not talking about a guy whose played a couple hundred games, he's played 4\. I don't think his ''profile'' would have had much to do with it at all.

Reminds me of a night I was at bourban bar about 10 years ago and some drunken idiot kicked a chair over and I picked it up and the bouncer only saw the latter and kicked me out LOL
Argued for about 10 mimutes then I left

I was helping a mate in a punch-up in a pub in Burwood many moons ago and got pushed into a glass door resulting in 19 stitches…kicked out and subsequently barred for some time after that...drunken arguments over a pool table, insane

Yes I wouldnt know him either but I tell you who would its the circles of girls in nightclubs once a girl gets told hes a first grade footballer all the girls "MIRACULOUSLY" change from look at that drunken meathead to ooh hes a hottie and I "WANT IN" and will be fighting off other groups of girls to get him.

Its the nature of a male to then hate the bloke but its not the blokes fault its the groupie "PRETTY BUT CHEAP" girls who then get all starry eyed who are the real problem.
