McIntyre

If you have mcintyre instagram check out his stories reposted same signing photo 32 times.
Even heaps of tigers players reposted.
Something really smelly at club

That info says he's not rated at all by the club.

I hope for WT sake they're right and he doesn't take the next step. Otherwise it's another thing for Freddy or Hooper to talk about in 2 years.

Yeah I saw that. Seemed like everyone was happy for him getting paid.

Wouldn't look into it too much. End of the day, it's a job and you gotta maximise your earnings when you can...

Happens all the time with signings. They’re just congratulating a mate for getting a new deal.

Been some good reading but the Facts are as follows.
Sam did want to stay at the club.
He was verbally told he had a 1 yr deal at about 115k about 6 weeks ago.
He had problems with his manager The Rlpa ripp3d up his contract and Sam found a new manager. Then he contacted the tigers and put out some feelers.
4 other clubs came back with interest given it was only 2 weeks ago.He chose the 2 yr deal with the titans!
The Tigers have Still not contacted his management!
Sam rang Madge yesterday to let him know what he was doing and Madge said he was very disappointed and recruitment had stuffed up.
Did Sam chase big money No, he signed for not much more this year than the tigers said they would offer.
Loyalty goes both was!
And if a club demonstrates you are only secondary to there plan well go to a club that wants you!

How do you know this?

Grew up with his dad, talked to Sam this morning.
So these are facts not what somebody herd or said!

He is just trying to take care of himself. It's cool. I think the club would have retained him and he probably didn't get much extra money but the 2 year deal probably suits him.

Thanks for the info.

What a farce we have become.

We develop him for ages, he finally comes good. Our one player who actually has technique in his D. Who actually stings in D.

Can ball play and tackle = ideal long term 13.

Pom, have they even looked at the balance of the team? Because it looks like a mess right now. There are so many things needed that have not been addressed. The squad is top heavy in several positions and extremely weak in others.

If Madge is 'surprised' a kid he gave a chance to, who looked a long term starter, has suddenly left....what does that say about how we negotiate with players?

This sadly will happen until we get the cap in order and can afford to pay decent money across the board. 2.5m in Packer, Reynolds and Mbye is the problem. Brooks on massive money yet to deliver on his talent. We are a basket case but I think we are on the right track problem is we are two seasons away. It’s not pretty when it looks like 2022-23 to compete.

Agree there however if we are chasing players like Mansour/Roberts etc i wonder where our Cap money will be in a few years time again. Extremely disappointing with no JAC that we could not retain Mcintyre, we are a basket case still when it comes to retaining and purchasing players, i have little faith we will sort it out if we sign these players as speculated.

Madge quick to pass the buck to recruiting, don't directions with contracts come from the GM/Coach and CEO signs off?
We are a rabble it's not as if we had to Sign many existing players as we had already let most go from this season.

I'd hate to be in the dressing room now, the morale would be average.. You have a young man played well and out the door after being offered a minimum 1 year deal. Then you have Reynolds, Packer and Leilua J sitting pretty with large contracts and their respective contributions have been minimal. Leilua's signing is on the current administration and has been a disaster. He should only have been offered a 2 year deal with the second in our favour.

He was only offered a 2 year deal with an option in our favour? He will have a huge year this year or it will be his last in the nrl

Sorry just re read your comment

I am upset he is leaving as I saw him as a potential lock for season 2021. Twal is not our answer at lock for 2021. Our back row stocks look very thin IMO.

Mansour would be cheap, subsidised and a short term option I have no dramas with this move. We need to sort out retention before targeting an experienced winger. Jet is not happening the chairman shot it down but again it’s probably a minimum contract if anything.

I want to see us bring players through and retain our young players with some young signings. I’d rather run last with upside than battle for mid table .

Just wondering how this actually played out?

He had an agreed contract with us, (not signed) but the club must have felt comfortable that they didn’t need to rush (in hindsight this was an error), but his manager must have kept looking around even after it was supposedly agreed on?

Grubby move by him IMO.

Don’t begrudge the kid getting more money though, but a handshake is a handshake.

We offered him a one year contract on minimum wage, and after a couple of months he eventually agreed to it. We then took 2 weeks to follow up and put a contract in front of him and a pen in his hand and so rightfully his agent remained open to other offers considering we showed about as little interest in re-signing him as is possible. Another club shows interest, offers him a longer deal on more money and gives him a pen and a contract and it's done in a day. That's how every other club operates. The incompetence of our management is extreme.
And some fans wonder why we never make the finals. The culture of mediocrity is infested throughout the organisation. I've been in his favour previously but i do think it's time for a new CEO to lead the club into a brighter future. Pascoe has done well off field, but on field he's delivered very poor results. Someone who brings new energy, experience in managing NRL clubs and passion for making us better will help us finally achieve our aspirations. We've been going round in circles the entire time Pascoe has been here.

Well if you were there, why didn’t you remind Justin to take a pen, better still, offer your own.

Unless you have facts mate, then it is just a story in your head.

Bingo, there is so much in these forums the last few days that are totally fabricated from thoughts.

Cool story bro........not accurate and therefore probably unlikely to be true (https://www.titans.com.au/news/2020/11/16/mcintyre-joins-titans-for-2021/) but pretty cool nonetheless, had its moments, some exclamation marks for impact. No doubt will get you some much needed likes and attention.

Potentiallly another big stuff up by the Tigers. Contract negotiations should've started months ago. It's ridiculous to expect a 22yo guy to head into the pre-season without a contract. Ridiculous and amateur.

Titans are recruiting very well though.

Good luck Sam.

Did his manager ring us? Seems like a stuff up all round really

New manager - trying to show their worth and lift their profile. They have become like parasites feeding off the game

Basket case.

Why is it that you can see this but apparently Maguire cannot? If questions aren't being asked they should be now.

Wonder if our CEO found the time to meet Sam for coffee?

What part is inaccurate?
I assume its the 2021 part.
If you check the club site he is signed till 2022.
