ive been really into Breaking Bad lately. takes a long time to get into, but im well into the third season now and am… addicted!

Breaking Bad is more addictive than Crystal Meth.

Only 1 episode left! Love this show, been telling people for years but very few have bothered watching it. Depending how good the finale is, I would say it is at the very top of all dramas ever made…big call seeings how highly I rate The Wire, The Sheild, The Sopranos, Justified, Game of thrones etc...

yep, i havent been this into a show since Dexter. final season of that seemed to be just going through the motions, but the previous ones were awesome.

id rate BB equal with Dexter. amazing the great shows on hbo particularly these days. game of thrones and homeland are excellent too.

My best non spoiler attempt to describe it would be a mixture of Falling Down and Dexter.

I really enjoy it and highly recommend giving it a decent go. Comes to the boil slowly but well worth it.

Watched pacific rim the other day…. LOL what a festering pile of shite! Easily the stupidest film I have seen in a long time.

:roll i know, i saw it too! have you ever seen a more trite and stereotypical piece of rubbish?!! talk about a cookie cutter! i have to admit, i thought it was amusing. but what about those horrible "australian" accents?!!

ive had time to watch a lot of movies lately (thanks very much mining industry, WA…) and have seen a few.

Gravity was really good. not sure if it was amazing or not, because i just love sandra bullock... i really liked it. 8/10

Elysium was pretty awful. talk about having zero investment in the characters... so 2 dimensional with no development whatsoever. only cool thing was the satellite world Elysium, which looked great (if anyone has ever played Mass Effect 3 it looks exactly like the one they have in that...). 5/10

Man of Steel i really enjoyed. its a superhero movie, so you know what youre in for, i really liked it. 8/10

if anyone is interested (or if you just feel like discussing or even openly criticising it!) i have a list of 25 of my favourite movies on IMDb:
http://www.imdb.com/list/6tnSAkXGbiU/

not to harp on too much, but **Breaking Bad is the best show ever**, right up to the very last episode….same of which couldnt be said for Dexter unfortunately. just went through the motions the whole last season and then...just sort of ended really unsatisfactorily.

I finally got around to watching 'Zero Dark Thirty' and it was one of the best I've seen. It was compelling, edgey and meticulous. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour and see it.

On the other end of the spectrum, I also saw 'Sharknado' was ridiculous. It went any which way it wanted to without being clear enough if it was taking itself seriously enough.

Talking of movies I see the Monty Python crew are reuniting for one last time

Some of the funniest movies you could ever watch where made by the genius of the Monty Python crew

The shows go under the name of "One gone ,five to go "

For you young uns , if you have never seen a Monty Python movie grab one from the video store or download it

Life of Brian , Meaning of Life ,The Holy Grail ,Jabberwocky are all favourites , I reckon I laugh as much during a MP movie as I do through the Hangover trilogy

thanks peaches, i will "obtain legally" zero dark thirty now…

two i have seen recently are The Way Way Back http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727388/?ref_=nv_sr_1 with steve carrell, toni collette, sam rockwell (one of my fav actors), allison janney: very much an indie in the same vein as Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, Dave in Real Life (also really good movies, btw) and a really good movie.
also, Away We Go. another indie type, but just never gets anywhere (pardon the pun!) and has a feel of taking itself too seriously trying to be all "indie"... boring nothing movie.

also just watched a supposed horror called grave encounters. omg. what a terrible terrible movie! avoid this mutant lovechild of blair witch and paranormal activity at all costs!!! worst movie ive seen in ages!!

speaking of horrors, insidious was really scary!! really enjoyed having the crap scared out of me with this one!

have seen a few of the monty python movies, and for a series of films to birth such iconic lines as "its just a flesh wound!", "hes not the mesiah; hes a very naughty boy!", as well as the classic "always look on the bright side of life" really says something about the footprint the MP crew have left on western culture.

lol... actually just had a giggle at robin hood and his merry followers! the one with the coconut halves to simulate trotting and the bard singing exultingly "and robin ran away...and he ran and ran and ran and ran..." :roll

Anyone seen the new movie Prisoners? I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good drama/thriller. Outstanding performances from all (particularly jake gyllenhaal who i thought out-performed jackman), great directing, beautifully shot scenes. My movie of the year along with Django Unchained.

Two movies I have really wanted to see but just haven't got around to it yet. Good to hear they're both quality.

Loved the way way back. Was such a good film. Rockwell was amazing and Steve Carrell made me really hate his character. Well worth a look at.

Although the Hangover really did peter out in part of 2 and nearly all of 3.First one was brilliant though.

Normally not the biggest jackman fan but I loved this movie and his and all their roles.

Prisoners is number one on my to watch list. just currently i only really get to see movies when they have been released on blu ray/dvd. great to hear a really good comment on it, thanks Blake.

Django unchained was excellent as well; not exactly what i was expecting from tarantino, but another fantastic movie to add to his already impressive (in my opinion!) repertoire. if i had to have just one minor gripe though, it is another movie i think dicaprio just looks too young for his part, along with the great gatsby, j edgar and the aviator.

To me him in The Departed (classic by the way) was really his breakthrough role - the first movie i really thought, man, leo can really act.

Fraze, have you seen Moon?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1182345/?ref_=nv_sr_3

(pretty much has sam rockwell and no one else!). great movie in a very 2001 type way. also kicks Oblivion's arse when it comes to this sort of theme.

im just about to start Sharknado… cant wait to have all my senses and cognitive abilities tested!!
