I don't see where he fits into our side, based on players already on the books long-term.

He is an upgrade on our current playmakers though, and personally I would play him at 5/8, and shift Reynolds at hooker. Grub would be like a pig in mud playing in the middle.

But then again if Brooks continues his current form, he could be the guy to make way.

Between Brooks, Reynolds, Tui, Benji and possibly Moylan … that's alot of potential playmakers. You couldn't possibly keep them all in the 17 each week, which means we have spent big money on someone to play reggies.

Don't think we have Abe.

Brooks, Reynolds, Tui and Liddle are the spine, Benji is the utility on the bench.

That leaves Moylan who we have not paid big or little money for.

Al good - none of them in Reggies.

With Reynolds handling the ball at almost every PTB, the chances of a major stuff up or a brain explosion are multiplied to a frightening level

Reynolds debuted in first grade at hooker . Hasler changed him to a 5/8 .

Pretty sure that he was always playing 5/8 and had little or no experience as a nine prior.

I love stories like this. Junior rep teams mean so much to kids at the time and its stories like Edwards and that of Matthew Hayden that help put some perspective on them.

Well Cleary re-signed Brooks and Naiqama so I'll trust his judgement…more than likely make Lawrence Captain and definitely part of the leadership group..

Moylan may appear those things but from Cleary's comments it seems he doesn't share that view...has worked closely with him in the past and would be open to it in the future..

The fact that Lawrence is still with us is due to him not only having a contract, but in him being seen as being of some value at least - unlike most of your contributions to this forum.

I don't recall the tigers in recent times buying a marquee player who is available in his prime, so I don't think we have been down this road before. We have $700k left plus TPG's. I don't think he could get more elsewhere this late in the year. With the salary cap increasing, $1million for your star player isn't as much as we think. It's still all hypotheticals as we really don't know what's going on.
