MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

Just read the herald version, the comment from Cleary was as below;
"That role is probably up for grabs. Tui Lolohea is in the box seat there but there's probably another signing somewhere along the line for someone who could help fill that role.

Interesting.. speculation and rumours will no doubt continue

Id like to think that Ivan is stiring the pot.

Keep the fires burning with Penrith takes away the focus on us. Also keeps our players on their toes.

What focus is on us?
We're finished for the year, done, kaput

And the rumour 4-5 months ago that he meet with Ivan and asked if there was a spot at the Tigers for him before Tedesco signed with East ….Moylan could very well be on the bus

But I still think Moylan was the half in the NRL who was shagging a team mates wife that Martin was blamed for
young men hormones it happens

Moylan is a very good goal kicker was at 80 percent before he was replaced by Nathan so that would be one problem solved

If Moylan did happen to come to the club that would spell the end for Brooks IMO.He is in another class to Brooks .

No inside info or anything but, I'm not giving us a chance to get Moylan. Lolo deserves a year at fullback and if he doesn't kick on, then we'll go back into the market for a fullback. Besides that, I just don't see Moylan fitting into next years team or Penrith releasing him without compensation.

Sorry but LoLo doesn't deserve anything, neither does any other player in 2018 ,
If he's the best in his position compared to the competition, and shows it consistently. Then he should get the position if that's best for the team.
In the unlikely event that we got Moylan, Tui would have to show that he is better if he wants 5/ 8 or the FB position.
I'm hoping that the old system of Coaches favourites went when the last Coach departed.
Next year, I I hope that every player has to fight off someone to get and keep every position.
I don't care if Moylan comes or noti just want our team picked on form,
I don't think the old Favourites Club will be in vogue next year

I agree that guys need to be picked on form but it is inevitable that a number of the guys are already locks for their positions….at least half the side.

**Talking about favourites etc, I am a bit stumped as to why Sironen and Marshall-King were both given debuts but aren't on the 2018 roster. Were these favours or were they picked on form?**

I wondered that too. Especially with Marshall Snr coming back, I would have though we were definitely re-signing Marshall Jnr.

Sirro only played because of second-tier salary cap issues. Dunno if Marshall King was an exemption…but if we kept him who would he replace? We have two specialty 9s in firsts already. Surely he'll stay in ISP

I probably agree with this. But who would be our half? Benji? Lolo?

If Moylan was to come, Lolohea goes back to ISP. Highly highly doubt there would be any other first result. At least for round one assuming no injuries.

Jeez it would make the trial games very interesting.

Moylan is not coming to the Tigers. Cleary has already stated this and he's after 5/8 and big money.

RIVAL CONFIRMS MOYLAN INTEREST

Wests Tigers coach Ivan Cleary says he’d be open to picking up Matt Moylan should he depart Penrith.

Moylan is currently taking time out from rugby league to address personal issues and will likely not play again in 2017.

While the Panthers say Moylan is “committed” to his deal which takes him through until 2021, Cleary confirmed he’d be keen to reunite with the NSW representative if he wanted a release.

Cleary coached Moylan at the Panthers and gave him his NRL start back in 2013.

“My understanding is he wants to stay and he’s never stated he wants to leave,” Cleary told Fairfax Media.

“But it’s been a big deal, right? Would I be interested? Yes.

“That hasn’t happened yet, so it’s speculation.”

Okay I'd take him if Gus picks up 50% of 2018 and 25% of 2019

Kicks goals and would be a great FB come 5/8…. I guess that would mean Tui is surplus

No way Penrith will cover any of his salary. But we offered Watson $500k, so even if we have to pay $750k he would be a good purchase. Tui has to be in our team next year. Whether that means he plays in the centres or he plays fb and Moylan plays 5/8 , see what best fits.

1\. tui
2\. Nofa
3\. Suli
4\. Marsters
5\. Fonau
6\. Moylan
7\. Brooks/ Reynolds
9\. Reynolds/ liddle

Or we could go

1\. Moylan
2\. Nofa
3\. Tui
4\. Suli
5\. Fonau
6\. Reynolds
7\. Brooks
9\. Liddle

Only speculation but gee it would be good.
