Can't watch that stuff with Tedesco in it.
If we won the side could include Ted Bundy, Idi Amin, Stalin , Hitler , Mugabe and Jack the Ripper and it would be ok
Unfortunately that's not my quite point. I can look at Moses playing for Tigers and, in hindsight, feel revulsion that he ever wore our colours - but that's ok, it's in the past. Same as when Adolf Hitler played those 10 games on the wing for Balmain in season 1931.
But Tedesco, it just hurts to be frank. I mean I dislike him and I silently hope every match that he goes down with an ACL (I really do), but more than that, it's just so wrong that Roosters can take players like that off another club. It's not like Thurston or some other lack of talent recognition, or some salary cap tactical decision - Tigers wanted Tedesco, offered him a million bucks, but the Roosters just swanned in and took our best player, who was already getting quite close to being the best player in the comp, and now maybe is the best player in the comp.
Makes me sick in a sad way, esp on that day against Manly he scored 3 tries and I was there, thinking "this guy will make the difference in the future, we just need a little more quality about him".
And now I think I am seeing that quality emerge, of a tougher and gradually more consistent Tigers side and a coach who knows what he is doing - and Tedesco is gone. Turns out the guy you put your hopes in, he's always been a bit of a show-pony and a revisionist; turns out that the heel he did on the Raiders is actually typical Tedesco behaviour and he just looks out for Number One when it comes to contract time.
Turns out the bloke you cared about least - Luke Brooks - is actually the only one who stuck around to try and make a difference. He's the one we rely on now, and for his troubles and despite Dally Ms, plenty of haters still.
I know one can say loyalty is dead and football is a business, but for fans it's not like that and I'd rather not be reminded that fancy clubs pull fancy signings. I'd rather Roosters not rub it in our face, when Cronk passes to Keary, then Latrell, who makes a line break and turns the ball inside to Tedesco for a try. And they all jump up and celebrate with one another, have a circle jerk and pretend like it's normal to have basically the entire Australian backline consolidated in one team.
It's not a business for me and Tedesco should be in this 2019 Tigers side helping us push into the finals, because he's our once-in-generation talent.
Butthurt much?
