David Nofoaluma: Wests Tigers confident winger will reject Parramatta Eels deal

SOME of his big-name teammates are yet to commit to Wests Tigers but the club is confident winger David Nofoaluma will re-sign after offering the flyer a three-year contract extension. While the likes of Mitchell Moses, Aaron Woods and James Tedesco are hogging much of the spotlight, the Tigers have not stopped locking in other parts of their roster. Nofoaluma, 23, recently met Eels coach Brad Arthur, who identified him as the perfect replacement for rugby-bound Semi Radradra.
Despite Nofoaluma’s interest in following Moses to Parramatta, the Tigers believe the Wests junior will reject the Eels and re-sign until 2020\. He would be the second player new Tigers coach Ivan Cleary has kept after halfback Luke Brooks re-signed for two years. Titans backrower Chris McQueen will join the club next year. Meanwhile, Tigers management is expected to meet the manager of Woods, Tedesco and Moses this week as their prolonged negotiations draw to a close. The Tigers have ruled out chasing Melbourne halfback Cooper Cronk but have signalled their intentions to pursue off-contract playmakers including Gareth Widdop, Kieran Foran, Josh Reynolds and Shaun Johnson. Widdop looms as the club’s first choice as they also look to sign a goal-kicker.

I'm not sure if he is a priority over Tedesco but I have to agree, his 100% effort and commitment are to be greatly admired and makes him a very important part of our team. I'd even call him one of our building blocks.
