I used to think that Paul Kent on NRL 360 but after a comment he made last night in regard
to Joey Leilua I would like to nominated Kent as the WT'S FORUMN number one enemy even in front of Rothfield.
A comment was made in regard to JL being off contract this year a few on the panel said someone will pick him up but KENT the rear end said no one would touch him reason being that if you can't make it at WT'S we're would he make it totally uncalled for and a huge slap/slur to our club.

Paul Kent the clown that played one game of first grade with Parramatta. Actually, I think it was more like about 5 minutes of a first grade game.

Normally I would have a lot of respect for anyone that has ever been able to play even one game of first grade, but I think he has overstepped the mark with the way he criticized Joey and made a slur on Wests Tigers.

I know that we have been very critical of Joey on here and that Joey may very well be at the end of career but for "5 minute Kent" to show such disrespect to this club and a player that has been a Samoan International, twice centre of the year and has had a first grade career with 4 clubs is a just a little bit rich.

I would think that there would be more subtle ways for a so called professional journalist to make a point on national television.

Have you played 5mins of first grade?

What's that got to do with it Kent is still peed off because Joey called him out earlier in the season

No.

But that's not the point that I am trying to make.

I didn't see the show, but from what I understand, other journalists on the show were able to make comments about Joey's possible future without totally denigrating him or this club.

He called out Hooper didn't he?

I don't see what anybodies first grade career has to do with their opinion. We're entitled to one.

I stoped watching it.
In fact that was even before I canceled our FOXTEL couple of weeks back. Too many Murdoch journos that I detest like Crowley and Rothfield.
Anyway off the subject .... but some may be interested to know what’s available ..... Was paying $79 per month for everything but still recon overpriced.
Anyway now we get 1/2 price FOXTEL NOW for 3 months (@half price $39) deal which includes most things including sport on streaming and still enough change from my $79 for my Netflix and if I added things like Disney+, Stan and Prime Video.

If it's not too much to ask, but would you be able to explain how you've managed to do it?
I'm just a little uncertain of the last couple of sentences and wondered if you could elaborate, as I'm extremely interested.
Thanks

Ok .... here is the offer from FOXTEL that I was referring to.

https://www.foxtel.com.au/now/offer/foxtel/39-sports-movies-3m-nc.html

You will require a smart tv or a FOXTEL now streaming box to watch streaming subscription tv. Actually the FOXTEL now box is quite a good device which converts your android tv to be able to run Foxtel apps as well as other apps such as Netflix, Stan, Disney, Amazon Prime etc. It’s also Crome enabled and is compact and portable so you can take it on holidays with you and use with non smart TV sets. The box is relatively cheap I bought mine at JB HF for $79.

https://www.comparetv.com.au/review/foxtel-now-box-live-streaming-best-offers/

So what I was mentioning in my post is that now I get FOXTEL now @ $39/ month for three months and Netflix $14/ month and could add Amazon Prime $7/m, Stan $10-14/m and Disney + $12 for just over what I was previously paying just for FOXTEL.
Hope that helps.
By the way FOXTEL got back to me the other day offering to negotiate further on the deal I canceled. I’ll think about that when my current 1/2 price deal runs out.

I agree that he is there as a journalist and that he likes to be hard hitting and controversial, but as someone who has had some experience at rugby league at the highest level and what it actually takes to break into it, he would be a bit more sensitive towards a player who has made some notable achievements in the past and may well be coming towards the end of his career.

I know it's Kent's job to be controversial and in the process boost ratings and create discussion, which obviously he has done, but it disappoints me that he had to totally trash a player and a club in the process.

Before James and benji go on . Ikin says we ask what benji feels how WT going after they sacked him. He was not sacked , just wasn’t re-signed

Anything we are copping at the moment is welled earned .....we are an abortion based on the 1st 2 games

Well considering it was Brooks 150th game as fans of the WT we have been waiting for him to step up, his kicking game was not great, we were playing at home should know the ground and conditions.

Think the fans have lost patience with him, he will remain this season but don't be surprised that he is shopped around in 2022, know there keen on Hastings.

That is a joke right - Brooks for Hastings,

That's like a Datsun 180B for an old spare tyre.

Well just stating a rumour and judging from reports today looks like that is the case, so nil joke.

I make nil comment on Hastings because he has not signed nor played any games, but i will say about Brooks as a WT fan he is disappointing and has had his chances and a Datsun 180B more like a flat tire.

paul was very unprofessional with that comment about the club,if he was not dragged over the coals for that 360 is in a worst position then our club

WT need to bite the bullet and go and get someone who can bring a cultural shift, whatever the cost. Not Hastings.

Who then ?

Not many of them really is there, throw the house at Bellamy in a GM type role. Look at the Titans model with Meninga. It’s gotta be a game changer.

Pay Cammy 2 million to come out of retirement ?

Nah, couldn’t see that attracting the players we need. And as good as he is, he’s on very old pins.

Edit: Maybe someone like Brad Fittler who is well respected and connected in the sport. I think a kid sitting down with Freddy is more likely to sign with us than the current conglomerate. He would have links to origin and does lots in the community, he’s a pillar. That’s the kind of change we need. How much does he want?

Definitely not

Pretty sure Terry Lamb was a pillar as well . How well did that go .

I’m talking about in a GM or coaching director type role. Lots of Pascoe/Hartigan fan boys on here but it’s clear we just can’t match it with the big clubs at the recruiting game. How many of our side would make the Roosters or Storm best 17? The answer is absolutely disgusting.

At least with someone like a Fittler or a Bellamy coming in we would gain some respect and have a chance.

His words “if he can’t make FG at Wests he won’t make it at another club”. I’d say pretty fair given how inept we have looked so far and how clinical lots of other teams have looked. Truth hurts.

Wow , I know they not fans or WT , but not oh boy they are really hammering the club

On Bj... if you can’t make it WT you can’t make it anyway

Neither is going to happen, to be honest I wouldn't want Fitltler in that sort of role anyway.

I don’t think it’ll happen either, was just responding to someone who asked what I’d do to fix the club. Meninga will get the perennial battling Titans to finals this year having shown he can attract premier talent. That is the model I’d be looking to replicate.

yes it hurts like hell, but mud sticks 1 way or the other,id bench him, there is no need 4 that, sports is the only thing keeping foxtel above water, never shot the cash cow

I don't rate Fittler at all, he was a wonderful footballer but I do not think his knowledge of the game is very good at all. He was terrible coaching at the Roosters and think his success at Origin level is more about his ability to bring footballers together. I also think that Alexander plays an extremely underrated role in the NSW setup.
