Josh has a thread…Oh look..

Come on mate, you know how people feel about those 50 page threads.

They feel they are a terrific idea, to consolidate comments and updates in one place?

If you do this right, you keep abreast of the 50-page thread, you don't leave it 2 months then read the 50-page thread from start.

Or you come in late and go to page 50, jump back 4-5 pages and catch up on the latest.

A new thread for every thought… this place would be chock-full of ghost threads, one major post and a handful of comments.

If you are a person who can't handle adding your very important comments to an existing big topic (not you specifically), you should realise most people gloss over the small threads anyway.

Fair enough.

Well it appears that our club is finally signing good, experienced NRL players with some go about them…well done to all concerned...Reynolds gets the nod from me because he will be invaluable in regards to Brooks development...

On a side note,it also appears that some of my forum brothers are displeased with Reynolds coming to our club,so much so that the mini bus that Happy acquired has been upgraded to fit more passengers in..

so far Happy is driving and his list of people are ..Tiger Tim,Tyger and Spartan...I wonder how many more will get off Ivans bus and onto our mate Happys.. :unamused:

Happy can pick me up if he's going past. I wonder where Ivan is going to find a spare brain for the transplant that Reynolds obviously needs.

Hope he didn't pay overs for the mini bus. a driver and 3 passengers could fit in a '76 Datsun 120y And look…no paintwork required.

Really TT?
All these are on the bus? And Happy's driving?

Are they just off for a dummy spit or goners for good?
I am always amused by people claiming to be died in the wool supporters but actually do jump ship when something upsets them.

Never thought my southern neighbour Happy would chuck it in.

Geez GCT,I thought you would like to see some mongrel in the team,Reynolds will change his style under Ivan because he wont tolerate paying big money for ill disciplined players…Reynolds will be good for Brooks and now I think this team is taking shape as real contenders next year..
Stay on Ivans bus and enjoy the ride..if you do go on Happys bus, slip up to the top end and pick up Stryker,he is fishing at the moment and would love some company...

CQ,if you read through the thread you will see how many people have got the craps with the club,I suppose they haven't the patience to let Ivan and the admin do their work..people want results yesterday and a premiership this year…IT AINT GUNNA HAPPEN,next year is a different ball game and the way things are shaping we will shake the hell out of the comp next year..I completely understand how they can be angry,I have been myself on the odd occasion, however if you realise how much garbage over so many years we have had to deal with then its understandable that some of the fans, supporters and members want out..

Since Ivan has arrived I have had more confidence in the team and club,Im looking forward to a reasonable year this year and a much better one next year..I will remain on the bus even if all the wheels fall off...THEY WILL HAVE TO DRAG ME OFF...

Lastly, with the new changes around the place I think this club has learnt from previous years how not to run a business and hopefully all will be going forward for many years to come.

Ok thanks TT

I'm too old to let little things like footy clubs and footy games worry me. I've been through worse. Been following Balmain/Wests Tigers avidly since 1966 so you know what I mean.

Such a shame that people take footy to such extremes.

Do you think they will be back?

Don't know cq,but its entirely up to them,my disappointment is Happy,he and I had good conversations through the pm and he seemed like a good guy…my only answer is they are all very passionate and when enoughs enough, then they have reached a point of no return...

Passion pphhttt
Passion is for new members or recently married couples.

To enjoy long term relationships takes more than passion, lol.
Just ask wifey.

I suppose one positive is that I won't be stalked by Happy anymore.

I'm passionate, but I save it for the right moments. Don't pester me during a game of football, but I return to my normal human form 10-15 minutes after the FT siren.

The main bad thing about Reynold's signing for me is the length. 3 years would have worked better for the club but no doubt the player wanted 4.

Wests Tigers sign Josh Reynolds
>
Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Josh Reynolds will be joining the Club for the 2018 NRL season.
>
The new four-year agreement will see the talented five-eighth join Wests Tigers **until at least the end of the 2021 NRL season**.

I don't get the bolded part, does this mean it's a 4 year deal with a 5th year option?

WT used the same wording in the official announcements for Matulino and Nofoaluma as well

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of New Zealand International Ben Matulino for the coming three seasons.
>
The new deal will see Matulino join Wests Tigers **until at least the end of the 2020 NRL season.**
\

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that winger David Nofoaluma has signed a new, long-term, agreement with the Club.
>
The new deal will see Nofoaluma remain with Wests Tigers **until at least the end of the 2021 season.**

But not for McQueen

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Chris McQueen will be joining the club for the 2018 NRL season.
>
The new agreement will see McQueen join Wests Tigers **until the end of the 2020 season.**

Just curious

Thought I would post something I found interesting today.

https://twitter.com/FOXNRL/status/857401130489233409

While I was checking twitter I noticed Fox Sports NRL accidentally voted on it, my guess is they thought they were logged on their personal twitter. Seems who ever it was still thinks we are paying 900k.

The post was quickly deleted but I got a screenshot

McQueen will retire after this deal was my impression, will be 33/34.

Haha I doubt WT have dictated that he will retire 3-4 years in advance?

Lol what a fail

You should check out OldPeopleFacebook on reddit

That's funny stuff. One old guy posted a status asking what time the internet closed so he knew when he had to pay his bills by.

They say until at least the year contracted too because that's when they are contracted till. Because at that point, their future is up in the air. Its that simple.
