Cleary has just completed our spine for the next 4 years. 1\. Mbye 6\. Reynolds 7\. Brooks 9\. Liddle. Tui becomes the utility back from ISP.
Marshall will retire into a role with the WT.

We need to sign a gun edge backrower, back up hooker, back up prop and back up centre or two.

If we can get a hooker and edge forward this year we will get a top 8 position.

Just cant see Reynolds lasting another three years, still not convinced that Mbye is a longterm fullback, and Liddle - can see it, but he has got to be able to sustain it.
But if it works, then Ivan has done well.

Reynolds will last as long as he is playing as a running 5/8 on the edges. Mbye is 24 and I’ll back Clearys judgement on him. Cleary has shown an ability to improve players and Mbye is physically gifted with all the skills. Liddle is just battered with injury but huge potential. We really need a backup to help him out it’s our biggest weakness along with an edge backrower and goal kicker.

Off topic but can someone tell me why's theres only 25 rounds of NRL this year?

Because they changed around the format of Origin and teams have one less bye. It's still 24 games just over 25 rounds instead of 26.

What about Gamble?
Not much noise around him yet, but I’d like to see how he goes in 1st grade, might take a halves position of someone.

Gamble is a dud.

Really!
Seems to be doing well in isp.

Possibly the worst defender in the team.

"Gamble is a dud" …. really? what have you been smoking? I know that Hodgson rates him highly and his time will come ... he is a first grader regardless of your flippant comments.

Yeah he's a super star…. As long as u don't take defence into consideration.

Not first grade standard and if he played the next round he would be humiliated.

Straight up, we always have some dud gronk player that people always talk up and get all gooey over and they dont do a thing.

Blake Lazarus, Tom humble, Marion Seve… Gamble is no different to these.

What happened to the last Q cup signings? Rod Griffin? Billy Mac? All hyped up and didn't deliver.

Give it a break - who are you to make an outrageous statement that he is the worst defender in the team …. I put a lot more credence on both Benji's and Hodgson's opinions than yours and they both rate him.

Why you so mad? ?
You even seen him play?
Bloke can't tackle and it's not even debatable.

No one asked for your approval Freddy. Stop being so thin skinned

Nathan Clearly will be coming I have no doubt. Brooks can easily move to 5/8\. Not sure what to do with Reynolds.

Nathan Cleary will not leave Penrith I can’t see it happening. They won’t be outbid and there’s no chance Ivan pressures him to leave a side likely of winning a premiership over the next few years. Brooks is our halfback I’d extend him at the end of the year if not sooner.

I'm happy with the signing, he can play. But really he's been in the same boat as Tui. Hasn't reached his potential, and hasn't been able to nail down one position. Is he a better player than Tui? Probably. But not by much.

He’s miles better than Tui. In a totally different class.

Cool story bro

You cannot even compare Tui and mbye in the same class. Good enough to be called into the qld team as a shadow. Tui is all hype and potential and if he doesn’t improve dramatically he will be a Reggie’s player next year.

How about Tui to be offered to other clubs

Subside money for a marquee second rower

I'll X2 that .. I actually thought he was horrible last weekend .. !! He seems to take wrong option most times, and most times that option is only for him .. he put a couple of kicks in last week and look like he never informed his other team mates that he was putting in a kick .. ?? even the the grubber kick where Rowdy scored .. that was kicked into a space where Tui could get to it .. it was just lucky that Rowdy got to as Tui was checked after the kick for himself .. !!

From what have seen of Tui so far in all his games for us .. I see brilliant, I don't see him losing any weight as asked by IC, and most of the options he has taken on the field have been for himself, not the team … I don't think he is going to improve to a point where we need to keep him.
