This topic heading is absolute rubbish and belongs in the waste paper bin with my copies of Daily Telegraph.
Our club is unprofessional, how do you disagree?

I was going to reply to your long list of trying to shoot down all of TTs points, but if you haven't noticed the stulff that has been going on around here for years then what's the point some of our own members , like you, are amongst the few who would agree that the club smells like roses,
Most of the RL community, including a lot here would agree that the club had been a joke for a long time.
It's taken till now with Clearys signing to see them do something constructive and in the right direction . You can continue to close your eyes to all the blunders and stuff ups that gone on in the past. I
Happy was right to want us to keep wanting this club to be accountable for their stuff ups , but,you just keep your head in the stand
Keep blaming one or two players for our problems, but you haven't got a clue what's gone on between the club and them
The same thing happened when Teddy signed with the Raiders , he was almost hung. And it was later that we found about the way the club treated their best player When it came to contract time.
But you know what Woods and Tedesco think …. so your word is the whole truth.
Your lot want to put crap on two of the very few players that have always tried hard for this club, and at times they received very little support from some of the nuffies that they were expected toplay alongside.

Is funny in that most of those writing off the club are the same people that were up in arms about Farah's treatment last year and the need to get rid of JT.
I am sure that they said they would disown the club, so do they still support (members or attend games) or do they now just lurk on a forum longing for the good old days

Well I never ranted on about getting rid of JT and I think getting rid of Robbie was a brilliant move. Still the club did stuff up. They lost Tedesco. Major stuff up. If like some here are claiming the club did sssume that getting rid of JT would get the so called big 4 to sign new contracts then they stuffed up there too. So yeah they stuffed up.

What evidence do you actually think they would have been able to obtain outside of possibly the sworn word of Simona (which wouldn't be worth spit)? I'll tell you - nothing. All they could have done would be to directly approach the players and put it on them. The players would have denied it regardless of whether or not it were true and, if it were not true, would have been grossly offended at having been accused solely on the word of the player that had been dogging them on the pitch. An obvious lose-lose for the club. A useless PR exercise to be seen to be doing something which only had the potential to cause harm. Yet you accuse them of being incompetent for not having done it…So keen to criticise things you don't even properly understand as always.
A lot of people seem to forget **we are a million short of our cap this year** because we're paying two blokes to play against us.
That from a (current) board that supposedly was 100% behind the coaches decision and then flicked him a few games into the season.
Other clubs seem to handle these things better and move players around better - maybe someone can tell me another club that has been stuck with such a ridiculous problem?

Pascoe seems professional enough, allowing for that one odd dishevelled appearance, and, although I don't agree on every decision he's made, Cleary obviously knows his stuff.
Hopefully these two can keep the board away from all things actually related to playing football.

" nuffies"" fits aquite a few of the players that WTs have had in the team over the last few years alongside the very few quality players that we have had
Tedesco and Woods have always put in a first grade effort and kept us in games at times where a lot of the others have been terrible.
Unfortunately they cant do it on their own .
Other teams can concentrate on this two and know that there's very few other players to consistently worry about in a game
Anyway nothing will change mind of the few who want to whitewash the club for their previous incompetence . ( and boo the two best players we have had sinceEllis)

I believe pretty much all the players "try hard" on the field…. Some are blessed with more natural talent than others... I've seen plenty of support in pretty much every game.

I think Woods is a perfect example of how this club is well managed. We have a good player and the captain of the team acting like a complete twat. He is basically lying and bringing the club into disrepute. His complaints are internally inconsistent - he says one thing that doesn't gel with the next thing that he states.
The club has dealt with this in an extremely classy manner. If anything I think they have taken the high road to an extreme.
It appears clear that we've had a terrible culture at the club where our better players want to have everything there way and take no responsibility for their actions. The club appears to be confronting that.

Most players in demand test the market I would expect them to especially in this age where the terms of a contract seems to mean very little. My problem with the over the top reaction to Woods and Teddy leaving is that we continue to vent our wrath at individuals, instead of making the organisation accountable for our lack of success. Woods and Teddy will move on and slot into their new clubs and perform well - like all the others we have let go.
And all that would be fine with me if we had reached any level of success by moving players on, but we are in no better place than when this all started with Sheens, seem to remember Ryan being labelled a sook back then too. Call them all cancer; scum, and all the other choice words - but I will still maintain that successful clubs recruit and retain quality players they dont let them go unless they are replaced with better ones, and as club to date we havnt been able to do that -, aside from any added dramas we have endured. We all know the reasons why ie cap problems-: and that is and remains a management issue.
When players you want choose to walk, when you are in a financial position to keep them - that again is a club issue that needs to be addressed instead of resorting to defaming the players character.
As for Woods - I know enough about him to know he is a decent young man and this year may leave him with some regret, but it won't define him with those who really know him.
Lets face it fans turn like cut snakes -;just wondering who the next target will be.
I am also hopeful that Cleary will turn things around and I hope he is left to do that without dealing with unwanted distractions - he has signed some good players which is promising but we need a few more and a stable united environment with some good performances this year will hppefully set the platform.
Plenty more with you than me on this -just dont see how tearing strips of quality players is any value in making us a more successful club.You either review what you are doing wrong and make moves to fix it or you keep blaming individuals and watch them succeed elsewhere.

I originally thought that the Woods signed with the Bulldogs because of the M Moses contract revision/withdrawal saga. Considering some other articles recently I now tend to believe that the Taylor sacking had a bit to do with it. Not the sacking itself but that Woods wasn't consulted (he has admitted to this) about who the next coach would be.
For quite some time talk has been about the Big 4 wanting Todd Payten as their coach. Payten is also in Isaac Moses' stable.
My thinking is they thought that they would tell management that they'll sign if Payten comes back.
