Pascoe sanctioned by the NRL

Makes you wonder how things would turn out if we took these peanuts to court.

If it was as black and white as the NRL are saying, they wouldn't have taken over a month to go through our review. I think we would have a favourable result given the reduction in suspension to Pascoe and the fine. If Brydens were willing to take on the case you'd think we'd be a fair chance. They don't usually take on fights they would lose.

Not happy with that. They have reduced it just enough and delayed the findings long enough to likely not make it worth while taking this to the next level. Pascoe probably wouldn’t get back any quicker. When compared to others it is still over the top for which at most is a technical infringement that everybody knew about. It wasn’t a systematic attempt to rort the salary cap. Not sure what Brydens would think of this but if Club and Pascoe want to take it further, I’ll support them.

Not happy with the result myself.

The fines are one thing - not happy but can live with it even though it is not fair when put up against the sharks penalties.

However I think Pascoe should take the NRL to court (not because he would come back any quicker) but because his reputation has been ruined and he has been basically branded as a cheat by the NRL.

Not cool!!!!! Can't believe he is accepting this.

Well done Wests Tigers! Going to court and prolonging this would have been costly and counterproductive.

Justin Pascoe is a great leader and I am pleased for him that he’ll be back soon.

Now let’s make the friggen top 8!!!!!

Brydens were involved in preparing the appeal and would have had input into the media release …going off that without actually seeing the NRL evidence I would guess now Brydens would have advised not to take the matter forward

Absolute garbage response from our club, you either cheated the cap or you did not. Pascoe needs to grow a pair.

Sometimes you have to swallow your pride to achieve the best outcome. Our fine has been halved, we are salary cap compliant without shedding a player and our highly regarded CEO is back in his rightful place come June. A good outcome!

The fact Greenberg got an apology out of us - so what! Ask yourself this: who currently has the better reputation- Wests Tigers or Greenberg?

Dislike the pissant, bootlicker media release. I assume we agreed to sell our dignity as part of the deal and we obviously didn't put much of a price on it because the result isn't all that great…
No issue with the club deciding to move on with things and not take things to court but they didn't have to bend over.

We basically suck at even trying to cheat !

The club needs to learn to cheat and rort the crap out of the salary cap like every other club does , win the Comp then just self report to the NRL and cop a slap on the wrist !

The Sharks have been cheating the cap since 2013 but we’re some how cap compliant in 2016\.
LMAO !

The club cannot even get it's Media Release date correct. March 1 2019 is a Friday not a Monday. What faith can club's supporters have when the club's staff cannot even check the date on a very important media release. No wonder they ran into trouble with Farah's Ambassador role.

What can you do, they make the rules, maybe they make up the rules as they go along but not much you can do
I feel for Pascoe, his reputation has been tarnished for sure, maybe not among us but in general and as time elapses
I can only assume he did do something wrong as otherwise surely he would appeal and the club would support him
Let's move on and win this thing, then we can have the last laugh

Maybe not. Musgrove contract been refused meaning we sit at 29 players. There will have to be restructuring to fit 30 in by end of June

In addition, Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe has been suspended for six months, backdated to December 19, 2018.

Could be a very busy period before the June 30 cut-off. Have they announced a fill-in?

I think someone at the fan day said the head of finance/finance director has been acting CEO in Pascoe's absence.
