Possibly the worst half of rugby league I have ever seen.
Faatape has been our only good player and you can see the potential in Mason despite him being far from his best.
Staines was also way below his best, but at least accelerates fast when he receives the ball:
Hope does some good things, but is a weak defender for a number 9.
The rest of them are not worth any more time and effort.

Probably the worst half ever in the history of the NSW cup. Both sides beyond appalling. Not even Ron Massey level play.

But my god this is the most unprofessional rabbke of a side I've ever seen. 4 players getting warned for back chat before Kasey send Mason the bin.

But just so many absurd errors and lapses in concentration. Banning 3 players standing around pointing while no one is at dummy half and conceding possession from a play the ball after a Bears turnover?

I think Payne needs to be sacked for one. Every side he's had has looked a mess. There's zero doubt this side is very very poorly coached. But, there is also just zero talent in this side. These are the two worst teams in the comp and we're much worse than them. Mason needs a spell at hooker in Ron Massey, absolutely terrible today. He's exclusively a 14.

Really we should be looking to terminate the contracts for anyone involved with this side on and off the field, and try recruit from other clubs, there's just no talent at our club.

Yes. I was well off the mark. Parra's spine far superior. My 2nd line of cup getting a win is looking a bad comment too. So much ill discipline and poor tactics. Really disappointing 1st half.

For the 2 way off comments/predictions about these 2 games, I will not be providing optimistic predictions about Flegg and/or NRL this arvo. Haha
 
I feel like they are trying to fix the club from FG down, we finally have a decent first 17 but probably the worst depth of any club.

I mean at least it's a strategy as for 2 or 3 years we have sucked at everything from flegg up. If we can capitalise with some early season wins and get firmly away from the bottom in firsts, then I suspect Richo will turn his attention to the grades...just a guess based on the signings we made where the biggest risk we took in the top 30 was probably Skelton who was clearly ready. Very different to previous years, and unfortunately the whole club needs this overhaul as frustrating as it is.


BlackwhiteandGold and Balmain Boy and others are 100% right from the little bit I've seen but when you are broken at every level it is just going to take time.

It doesn't need to take time. You just target players and coaches with the skills we require.

Since Gus came in Dogs were immediately competitive in ever single grade. He has a quality spine in ever grade, with decent backs, some big forwards and fast backs.

We simply have to stop recruiting short slow dumb players. You'd think the was obvious but we just keep doing it.

Why do our junior teams lack talent so badly? Why don't we do anything about it?

Can't argue with that, especially the type of players we promote and recruit. Id start with the coach as really for koe losing Gardiner immediately set off a downturn

Big fightback here. Max Liles comes into the game & provides an important spark.
 
Liles coming on has changed the game. The only player out there capable of passing and kicking.
Then mason can go back to fullback and do the only thing he can do which is run, and Hope can stay a hooker and stop trying to be a halfback hooker.

Bears are now as poor as we were earlier. Hope selling dummies close to the line is funny but he's got a Hatty
