Littletiger you wouldnt think that the 24 players listed would take up 6.5 mil or there abouts, if they are then some players are seriously getting over paided for the performances being dished up.

We are currently dealing with alot of sins of the past, problems left to the current admin as gifts from the muppets preceeding them.

There is also the loan we took out from the NRL, which IIRC is guaranteed by being deducted from our yearly allocation from the NRL. Most club use the yearly grant to cover their salary cap. We are known to be financially struggling to begin with, neverlone not starting on par with the rest of the competition.

I dont know if the current Administration are the right people to turn it around, only time will tell. What i do know is that I rather them at the helm rather than the scourge that ran the place into the ground in the first place.

You can hear it in the fans, our thoughts echoed by the vermin in the media, that we are all tired of where we are as a club, we are tired of being told year after year that we are re-building, tired of being perennial underachievers.

Our only solace is that this time its a new group of people with greater business acumen are trying to right the ship. Its unfair to burden them with the failed promises of past. From Marina Go, down to Taylor and Co. we at least seem to have a plan. Thats more than we have ever had before, and we have definitely never had everyone pulling in the same direction.

I want to see some signings as much as the next fan, though would rather nobody than a signing that doesnt move us forward quality wise. We need to break the cycle that has us in this rut to begin with.

When one half of your organisation is bankrupt , the other half has to get a loan to keep the Joint venture viable is it any wonder the club is under the pump. I do not read to much about this side of the organisation it is like lets forget that 50% of the finances are not being funded or available .Maybe this should be discussed a bit more how this has certainly put the club on the back foot! I do not care what part of the venture it is but it must be a major part of what is happening ,surely it is not the salary cap alone.

I was under the impression , that the loan was to Balmain , and had nothing to do with WT' s. Nothing to do with Blame.
I just thought that I read somewhere that that loan is purely a Balmain thing WTs are not liable for it

thats a different topic, and liable to get really ugly.

Casting blame wont help us, whats done is done…. what we do from here on out is more important.

There is no blame I thought that was how it was ,I was stating this whole thing would not help with the bigger picture. It was not meant to be a divisive question ,the reality is one of the partners is broke and I can not see how this helps the bottom line.

No more PLODDERS….

If the right player is not on the market don't bother....We have payed the price in the past for a recruitment strategy that went after mainly Go-Lo bargain bin rejects from other Clubs ....with a few Exceptions...Taupau

I for one am glad that seems to be a thing of the past...if there is no one significantly better I would much rather continue to nurture our own...An example would be Pauli Pauli or R Morgan ...when we have Funaki and Seve already on our books

Re-align the Cap with a better balance in 2016 with a view to entering the Market for established players in areas of weakness....remembering also the new TV rights deal will come into effect in 2018 and most 'Gun' players will be holding of signing deals until the ramifications of that are known...

Yes there are no such thing as value for money signings anymore

These days it comes down to market value at the very least

Centre for example , the comp lacks a great deal of quality centres , when one of the big names pop up they will go for top dollar

When in doubt ask our CEO

GC confirmed that we are looking at a couple of backrowers and an outside back, wuldn't commit on timing other then before pre-season 2016

Gave him some names mostly that have been mentioned on here and got the impression a couple of them were included in those they are/ have worked through but that things might change positively if we get some players are released

Agree always helpful and honest as one can be in these situations. Many will disagree but I think he has done a great job in difficult situations at our club

but there is no doubt that we are now a worse team than we were at the start of the season , largely due to Taylorball

Exactly - we have gone backwards. That is the reality of the situation and no amount of spin can change that.

I completely agree. I'm actually happy to look at cheaper options that are smart signings, Austin, Taupau and Naiqama to me were all good signings.

I get more worried about signings like Blair. If you pay top dollar you have to get top results.

Yep agree there are more Blake Austins running around that we should look at to recruit… Apart from Ellis all our big name recruits have been big flops!

Grant Meyer was very honest in his email and forthcoming when he replied to my email this week. I am very happy that you followed up his invitation. Good news. I am happy that the club is looking to fill and strengthen our weak spots before 2016\. They may not be big names but you never know what you may get. Naquima for example did not come to the club without any drumroll but he has been more than adequate playing centre/wing for us.

Did he mention his own role? He mustn't of seen it coming.
