LIVE GAME Preseason Challenge v Canterbury

Live Game Discussion
Rubbish half, pointless match.

Dogs have a much stronger squad. It's also clear that one team had very weak squads in cup and flegg last year whereas the other was winning.

Why do we always recruit such tiny forwards? We'd be giving up 200-300 kgs across-the-board today.

Kit is not a prop, should never play there. Sukkar is useless. Broederlows defence is shocking.

No pace, no power, no skill. One good play in the entire half! Can barely make 20m with the ball, and zero line speed in defence.

Benji should rip into these lazy bludgers and tell them if they want to play first grade anytime soon they need do try a lot harder.

Outside of our top 17, Sione Fainu is our next man up in the middle which is a good thing.
After him we have nobody else ready to play week to week NRL in the middle.
So as much as we need an edge forward, we also need an extra middle.
The positives have been Galvin looks very sharp and Skelton has exceeded my expectations, looks ready to rip in for a great season.
I will add that Mason is again showing he’s a very solid backup fullback and is NRL ready when required.

Same backline as last year???

When did we play a combo of Mason - Lobb - Faataape - Feledy - Skelton ....???

They are depth players.... aside from new buy Skelton who has been very good!

Buy a clue or phone a friend FFS!!
I think that’s a good thing . All were in and around the top 17 last year , and outside Skelton should be well and truely down the order.
Feledy has done a lot of work defensively . His contact seems to be there, which I’ve never said before about him.

Positives
We held them out for 25 minutes.
Galvin playing OK on the right making Faataapaaay look like a world beater. Luai on the left will really make teams nervous.

Negatives
Little or no attacking ideas inside the Dogs half. All attack has been long range via Gal.

They looked competitive for 20mins. Then Galvin got trigger happy. Bulldogs marching up field with ease with next to no one with first grade experience.

I thought kit looked good driving through contact . Just seems height challenged ,but that’s not an issue in the middle.

Did our attack look good?
We had a lot of ball in their half
It was ok. Hard to say. Galvin playing great. However this game just seems like a waste time apart from fitness.

Except for Galvin the rest of the attackers won't be in the NRL side.

Mason has had a couple of good runs but he let a bomb bounce. Really need to get that out.

It’s a waste of time having Galvin constantly getting the ball on the last tackle. You’d think Latu would have some hunger.

Voss has degenerated into a pathetic wannabe hype-man - with the shittest hot takes and eyes only for one team!!

Had his tongue so far up Ciraldo's rectum while giving "insights" into their training regime it was cringeworthy.

With 3 minutes to go he was entirely focussed on the Bulldogs bench warming up - and failed to see or call the Mason turnover...

I don’t normally agree with Snidest, but under the circumstances Jeral Skelton has been outstanding. I had a few question marks on him, but he could be our next Tuiaki.

Yep, we destroyed his development, poor bugger.
Do you think he would survive playing 5/8 at his size and age?
Fair to say whoever played him at 5/8 in the juniors and not push him into the forwards probably stuffed his development.

Thought that Mason was no chance of getting to that kick, though last year was certainly an issue.
