Rebrand time?

We just need a new slogan that really reflects who we are and what we're about as a club.

Wests Tigers
"There's always next year"

Wests Tigers
"We made a profit"

The team will definitely be better next year. Still pretty average but better. No need for a rebrand.

That’s what we thought last year

Not me, personally. Never bought into all the hype on here about AD, still don't see anything good about Walters, Talau is really young and I didn't really know what to think about Grant. I did think BJ would be better than he has been and I did expect our forward pack to improve somewhat to offset the loss of Matterson.

And that has made it another disappointing year. No clear direction on who our halves are or their role, our forwards don't seem to get involved enough and guys like Mbye are played completely out of position. If it's the same next year, it won't just be disappointing it will be unacceptable and I would expect a significant head to roll in admin. Ivan really did a number on his 'mate' Pascoe.

What has that to do with rebranding - talk about a tangent

Come back when we miss out on JAC and sign Foran

No doubt I will come back, I'm here whether I like it or not. The question with thinking like that is, will you?

I’ll follow the black and golds wherever they go, from Balmain, to Campbelltown, to Timbuktu. Have for 33 years. Got damn sick of being sad in July though, change is sometimes a necessary evil.

Change can be good, your idea isn't though.

I accept your opinion, it’s a far out idea I get that, how would u fix this mess?

I would be looking at one home ground, bringing in orange and black based alternative jumpers that don't change for a number of years, reducing the reliance on Leagues Clubs by becoming a members focused club, I would be looking at new revenue streams to broaden our financial base and brand exposure through partnership outside of the game.

Most importantly I would create a winning team because our supporter base is unrivaled when we are doing well.

Fixing up our recruitment and retention of both playing and coaching staff would go a long way to see us winning consistently

Yes it is dumb to talk about re-branding. We already have a brand. It is the Tiger. The powerful jungle cat with all its magnificent attributes. Attributes that players and supporters can strive for and be proud of. Unfortunately the administrators and some supporters suffer from dissociative psychosis when getting bogged down arguing about what’s on the collar. It’s a simple game. The greatest game of all. The club deserves a brand to match that greatness. Not two mismatched animal totems.

You're the only one arguing for something to be changed lol

We really need to prove ourselves successful with the identity we have rather than change it. In our 20 year history, we haven’t been successful except for the 05 anomaly which is our only real joy. Lets give it another chance.

Bejesus after 5 pages of this garbage go find a new club. Some seem so desperate to find something new. Do it. We won’t miss you.

Far out

Im not arguing for change. Just acceptance that our existing brand is the Tiger. I’m a successful marketer of 40 years standing. No successful brand tries to carry two logos and try to call them a brand. A simple exquisite solution to a very simple problem.

At no point do we pretend to be anything other than a Tiger.
