It’s pretty obvious.
There isn’t enough information at hand to make an informed decision.
Everyone’s opinions are decent reading, but as suspected when I started this thread, we are all stumbling in the dark on this one and it’s going to start a lot of shit when the NO vote inevitably gets up.

America has been divided by race over the past 5 or 6 years and we are heading down the same path.

Poorly presented and argued, as usual, by Albanese and Labor.
I could live with a wording change recognising Aboriginal people. Terra Nullius has already been overturned by the High Court re Mabo but there is too much uncertainty around the Voice, and where its proponents want it to lead. Once enshrined, won't be removed without another referendum. Nothing should be enshrined in the constitution without "it" and its logical progressions being 100% clear and to the benefit of all Australians.
If you don't know, vote no.

Just because they do experience these things doesn’t mean they experience them due to their race. They have more opportunities for work and education than everyone else.
The claim they are more likely to be imprisoned is a joke…lol.
Magistrates do everything in their power not to hand down custodial sentences to indigenous people. The ones that end up there truly belong there.
You sound like you are plagiarising a BLM pamphlet.

I strongly disagree with this. The biggest indicator of access to education is wealth. The historic treatment of Indigenous people has resulted in them, on a whole, starting from a much lower socio-economic status. Sure, at an individual level an Indigenous person may have better opportunities then a similarly disadvantaged anglo or migrant but at a population level it is just not true.
Similarly, poor economic status is the leading indicator of crime. Again, not an excuse for any individual but understandable at a population level.

You are dead wrong about this body making things easier. It’ll increase timelines and add red tape.
From experience I’m stating this is very unlikely to help.

this is my concern also and why i would like to see more detail about how and why the voice will improve Indigenous peoples' outcomes.
