Here you all again blaming the victim. Robbie did not start the blue, he was till active on the field taking into consideration his age and injuries. He wanted to get 250 games up. They could not have given him a two year contract as Potter wanted due of backending would have been too severe.

They have know for yonks that he is a fiery character esp out on the field battling for WT side. So what did they expect.

I read here somewhere how one of the great coaches (Melbourne team?) would base the game plan around the top three players' games. Somehow JT could not make this all happen.

And as GCT said there was no Plan B with a cashed up reserve to pay him out. The club/team now needs Farah to glue them together again and win games - the only way of the shenanigans. How ironic.

Its a sad day in my view. We have just pushed out a club legend and some of our fans are backing the judgement of a hapless board and Jason Faylor. I said from day one if you could release Farah and save his contract value then even as a fan he had to go. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It looks like we will have cap money to spend in 2017 so we need to make the same hard decision next year with Taylor. We need a coach that can attract players. With Farah gone so go the excuses its sink or swim for Jason next year. If we are not competitive he is gone by round 6.

Robbie is the victim? He was told to move on and this is nothing new. It happens in every workplace. I am not saying all of it is right but it happens.

I think the victim here is "US" and the club. Why let this saga get drag into the mud. Everything could have been settled behind closed doors. The club is wanting it to stay that way (behind closed doors) but Farah/Ayoub brings it out in the open. Why? If he has the club's best interest at heart then he wouldn't allow this to happen, it doesn't matter what Ayoub says in his ear.

It shows the immaturity of Robbie - "the Potter can't coach" saga. I thought he would've learnt from that. He could have handled that differently. He could've just admitted it that he did say it and apologize and say that he is glad that Potter proved him wrong. End of story. He can do the same in this scenario - settle everything behind closed doors.

"We" are the victim not him and I want to see this settled sooner rather than later.

I'm assuming that Farah/Ayoub have actually got something tangible from elsewhere if they've finally come out with the request for a release, and that the request is simply a notification that they're willing to come to the table and start negotiating on the payout. The stuff both their camp and WT have released publicly is simply posturing in an attempt to get the upper hand.

That said, assuming anything is wrought with folly when Ayoub is involved, so who knows.

Depends on your definition of tangible.

They'll definitely have an offer (I suspect the roosters from the rumblings), but the Roosters are probably expecting to get him for next to nothing. That's not tangible in my book.

I don't think Ayoub or Robbie expect that their ploy will work. Just trying to produce a new media trigger to try to slam Taylor some more. The CEO was quite disgruntled on MMM as I suspect he has put in a lot of work to mend the relationship.

Going on the CEO's upset nature, there is only 1 source that the news of the release would have come from - Farah/Ayoub. What does he have to gain from the media? Nothing but rocking the boat. Certainly it wouldn't help with collaboration from the CEO.

Robbie is just a ball of passive aggressiveness.

You could be right about the offers - I certainly don't see the roosters as a viable option given the $$$.

Seems that Ayoub is having a dig at someone about the release of information to the press.

Not to mention Robbie dragging Moses & Brooks into his 'secret' meeting in public while he is away… with a bloke who initiated this downward spiral by overloading contracts.

Yeah Robbie dragged them there against their will because they are incapable of forming an opinion for themselves about anything. In hindsight probably shouldnt have promoted Farah as a club legend and mentor to them since they began in our system all those years ago. Now we dont want Farah anymore because he is actually a bad influence, might be hard to retrain their thinking, considering they are incapable of thinking for themselves.

This thread on one person or topic is the winner by miles….Lote's thread was about 179 pages I think but took about 18 months to reach that height...there are threads in the General discussion section that have more pages but have been going for 6 years nearly...

The latest article in the Australian seems to be the most sensible and realistic ive seen in a while, hopefully thats the way it pans out. Gives Robbie a club legend the send off he deserves gets to have one last hurrah at Origin, we get to have cap relief next season realistic relief in 2017 we also have Ballin that will be a more than adequate fillin for that Origin period where Robbie isnt here or even if theres an injury to Farah or Cherrington.
More importantly hopefully as a team we can stabilise now for 2016 however it plays out i just hope it doesnt carry on for much longer, which ever side of the fence you sit or even if you sit on it this whole saga is doing no one any good.

There are clubs chasing him especially the Roosters. We'll see how this plays out because it is at the comical stage now.

I only hope JT can do an off the cuff interview where he can articulate his position on the latest development.

Apparently JT's been reined in. He's not allowed to speak to the media, do interviews or ring up radio stations to explain himself without seeking permission from Pascoe first. :sunglasses:
