greetings fellow fans and fellow not so much fans (of mine that is)
Wow this thread is moving fast.
i go on vacation for a few weeks and 40 poages are added ; -
my summary without the haze ….
they wanted Farah gone .... no really - GONNNNNNE...
said they would pay him out in full or he can stay and play in reserves
now, they want him to sign a 4 year contract with a job at the club when he retires as a sweetener because "hes a club legend ? that they respect ?
Annnnd, they dont or now cant afford to pay him out in full as per all previous public comments.
marty's gone to Manly.
the 2 young halves have balked at resigning an extension.
Both are open about their respect and friendship for Farah
apparently both are being shopped as a pair ?
Uncle benny - like him or not - very influential still. not a fan of taylor at all.
"under the right guidance and coach these 2 boys could develop into 2 of the best halves in the game"
Teddy, the siros and several other senior players and support staff continue to publicly show full support for farah
Taylor has been given a full media ban.
board's support of him is obviously straining
Pascoe - trying to stabilize the club.
Mentored by Phil Gould
and seems to have a ACE in his sleeve - if or when - the time comes.
ACE is a very very close mate of his.
an ex coach actually.
some of you may remember him from his days at the panthers.
if anyone seriously thinks all options arent on the table, your missing something.
there is no way Farah would have been offered a 4 year contract as a good gesture.
there is no way the club will simply let more players walk away. especially the young guns they have been touting as the future.
And lets be real here - if any of you were looking for a job would you go to a company that constantly plays out its absolute disfunction over and over and over and over again.
from the field to the board to the players to the coach....
wow.
I've missed you bobo…hope you enjoyed the holiday...just a couple of things I question in your synopsis....
1.Is this the same Benny who said ..
Balmain great Benny Elias is the uncle of Mitchell Moses, and he insists his nephew would not only see out his current deal but will be playing in the black and gold for years to come.
“He’s not going anywhere,” Elias declared, adding that he felt no need to remind the youngster of his commitment to the club.
>
“He might have that option, but trust me he’s not going anywhere.
>
“Mitch doesn’t need me in his ear, he’s got a very good manager in Issac Moses, and he’s looking after him like he’s his own son. And they’re on board with what JT and the Tigers are building for, they’re in it for the long haul.”
2\. this so called magical 4 year deal does not exist...Ouote Wests Tigers official Statement...
Farah still has two years left on his contract with the Club, with reports of a new playing contract being offered to him incorrect.
>
“We are looking at a number of options with Robbie, including what role he may play with Wests Tigers once he finishes his playing career,” he said.
I would suggest and just my opinion...The Club is simply covering itself from a full payout...no new contract has been offered..and his existing contract will be honoured until a settlement reasonable to both parties can be reached....It is simply part of the negotiation process...I to notice Farah has not withdrawn his request for a release....
