stunned about this news. robbie is a weststigers legend but he is in his career twilight.
hope he gets a gig in england then he can get a season ticket for his reds.
would absolutely spew if he went to the scum at sowfs.

His brother is on the coaching staff.

where's the bucket

Mixed emotions but at this stage of his career and his large contact the correct decision.

Not the same player he once was.

Now time to move Lawrence on as well.

Thank you for the memories

 Either is good…Look it's a good move...

Grateful for what Farah has given the Club and believe he deserves respect rather than being slagged off which has happened on here of late...criticising his form is fine other stuff over the top IMO....

If Robbie did go to Souths ? He'd probably start killing it again lol
He's obviously had enough with Wests Tigers , hey we all need a change of direction from time to time !

This is the last straw guys officially done with the club, off field and onfield this team is a joke, the loyalty this guy have for 10 years his mother to the team…

the club is a compelte basket case joke and it all started at the end of 2011 when they decided to clean the club out

that is it for me no longer a tigers fan no long ANY fan will watch games as a spectator

Mate, I know it's a tough decision on the exterior but I think it's for the best. Even Farah should be able to see that him staying here and taking up the cap space he would be isn't in the best interest of the club. Mathematically it makes more sense for him to not play for us and someone else to pay as much of his salary as he can because Cherrington has shown in his chances this year that he has come up to the same standard Farah has dropped to.

We'll lose nothing on the park with Cherrington another off season stronger and better and Farah another off season older, yet we'll have salary cap relief and may even be able to buy someone like a Matt Ballin to plug it for a season.

It's a very wise and yes very difficult decision. I hope Farah is dealing with it well, but we've brought this on ourselves. You can blame previous administration for this.

I'm surprised that people aren't reacting with more sentimental affection. Regardless of how you perceive his last year he has been a consistent and loyal performer for the club since his debut, and I will be sad to see the first genuine Wests Tigers club legend go. I hope he's successful and happy in whatever path he follows from now on.

for the best??? yeah like cleaning out Gibbs Rhino Beau etc in 2011 that's really seen us make the semis the last 4 years and finish higher then 10th

we replaced loyalty with a bunch of heartless guys like Blair… yeah a lot of good that plan was

I don't care what you think of his performances this year or the money he is apparently on, you don't treat your captain and a club legend like this. I'm livid, until the people running this joint are gone I'm done with this club

My big problem with this is, we as fans expect loyalty from players the club shows absolutely zero loyalty to the contracts they dish up. He is on the wrong side of 30 and in decline IMO, but he was given a contract and largely back ended apparently honour it for Christ's sake. If someone like Tapau tried to get out of his contract next season because the Titans were offering big money we'd all be blowing up.

Sorry Ink. Somebody made the comment "he's had his ups and downs". My off the wall kicked in, hence Otis Elevator.

Wow!

Its a brave decision, but not one I totally disagree with.

On par with the Broncos releasing Wally Lewis or Manly releasing Vautin.

However the reality is that we will still be paying huge money for Robbie to play against us, so how much $$ will we really be freeing up?

And who are the club targeting with this dough? Are we just upgrading Cherrington or chasing a marque signing?

Either way I wish Robbie the best, an absolute legend of the club.

I think he wants to leave
I don't think we are forcing him out of the club
Hence his recent performances, I hope we put in a good performance for all players leaving at our last home game of the year

Moltzen's tweet says it all - he was pushed and I don't think he is happy. Doubt anyone in the playing group is happy to be honest.

Who wants to play for a club that shows no loyalty to its players, let alone club legends and life time members.

We could cop a bashing by the warriors on Sunday..

It would be nice to have one club legend play his entire career at the club. Pretty sad day and I think it would have been a lot better for him to have played 2016\. An inexperienced club gets even less experienced. If this is a hit he's taking to clear the cap then my respect for him just grew but it's hard to see this as anything else than another decision on the run by a club struggling to figure out a narrative.

Mixed emotions on this one. Unfortunatey I think his day is up but what a great clubman and what great memories.i wish the glory days could of lasted longer but like all good things they must come to an end. Good luck Robbie
