Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

I want to start a rumour, Farah to star in a Broadway musical "The Wizard of OZ" with Sheensie playing the Tin Man, Potter playing the Cowardly Lion and JT playing the Scarecrow.

so is Robbie dorothy or the witch?

My personal opinion on this latest Farah saga is that he should not be allowed anywhere near our first grade team next year. If he and Taylor did manage to (wink wink) strike a truce for the good of our team and our young up and coming hooker as well as overall harmony throughout all of the playing group in all grades then I would class that as a miracle. If Farah gets upset during the coming pre-season or an early competition game then we better get uses to more of what has occurred during this and the previous season. I am so disappointed in this man over the past two seasons, he has gone from being my favourite player to my most disliked player in the NRL. :sign:

I'm not usually one to tell supporters to go support other teams, but if these 30 people (that in itself is hilarious) are serious about turning their backs on the club, then go. Obviously they weren't real fans in the first place. I know supporters get attached to players, but the player never comes before the club, and no player is bigger than the club.

If we were to finish in the top next yr without him (I know it won't happen) does anyone honestly think these people wouldn't be back?

What a joke, 'player never comes before the club'.
So coaches and NRL puppets on the board do???
Taylor and Go don't represent my club, I've supported the club over 30 years. How long u reckon Go has?? To speak on our behalf….
Hopefully this board will move on it is a joke, no idea about football. But yet they back a coach who urinates on public! Top effort!
It Go-es both ways..

You're clutching. The board are paid to make these kinds of decisions, not the players. Sooner or later a board has to stop siding with the players and stand behind the coach. They're doing what the last board should have done. And if the players don't like it and want to sing songs about him like 12 yr olds in their clubhouse with the "No Girlz allowed" sign on the door then they should be told to hit the bricks too. They wouldn't want to get too smart as half of them wouldn't get a gig anywhere else.

Funny stuff!
U crack me up, u and the other 6-7 haters on here. I'd be surprised if u guys actually went to any games, seem like armchair guys to me.
Funny how u talk about my straw clutching, yet there are very small amounts of u guys on here with the hate crimes. Did farah sleep with your girlfriends or something???
Also the board aren't paid and shouldn't be either. They, U and Taylor are not my club.
I heard farah was the guy who got Abbott kicked out too!!! Next the world….

Its starting to get really heavy in here now

Haters
Sleeping with g/fs
Hate crimes…

Weve reached a new low

hows it go gnrs>? ermagerhd...htrz evrywhere?

Farah Weather outlook - VERY CLOUDY, murky even!!

You're pretty funny yourself. Everything you just said is interchangeable with JT and what his critics have said about him. You talk about arm chair critics, how aren't you one of those the way you and others have verbally bashed the board and JT? I suppose that's different eh?

ROBBIE Farah’s manager Sam Ayoub is preparing a shame file on the Wests Tigers’ dealings with their skipper, saying he wasn’t afraid to “embarrass plenty of people”.

Speaking on the Fox NRL Market Watch podcast on Wednesday, Ayoub took a veiled swipe at Tigers coach Jason Taylor and reiterated the promise that Farah will dig his heels in and see out his contract.

Despite recent speculation linking Farah with a move to a clutch of clubs including the Knights, the Dragons and the Rabbitohs, Ayoub rejected that likelihood, emphasising that it wasn’t about the money, but “what’s right and what’s wrong”.

But the biggest bombshell was Ayoub’s threat to go public with documents shedding light on the manner in which the club has attempted to finish Farah’s Tigers career.

“I’ve got everything pretty much documented,” Ayoub said.

“What was said and when and who said what and there’ll be a sequence of events that is going to come out later that will embarrass plenty of people.”

Ayoub reiterated that legal action is a possibility although he revealed “I don’t think it will go that far personally” and described as “insane” the Tigers’ expectation that a player on a marquee contract like Farah could be moved on so late in the season.

“ … It’s also a little bit insane to think you could find a position in late July for a player of Robbie’s calibre who is on the amount of money Robbie is,” Ayoub said.

“I don’t know where in their right mind they thought that was going to be something that was going to be easily achieved.”

It wasn’t just the Tigers’ management in Ayoub’s sights, with the manager also teeing off at the way the Farah fall out has been reported in some quarters.

“The thing about this is those at the club, and given the fact that no one’s been consulted, are fully aware that Robbie’s been great, the players love him contrary to some of the bullshit that’s put out there, sorry guys for the swearing but it irks me,” Ayoub said.

“He’s been great. I was with a few of the boys (on Tuesday) night at the RLPA Awards with Robbie and I can tell you this; they don’t want him going anywhere.

“And to suggest that the player group are off him is a load of crap.”

Despite adamantly declaring Farah would be at the Tigers next season, Ayoub revealed he had taken calls from several clubs and representatives and would be in a position to offload the star hooker for a bargain basement price, with the Tigers forced to pick up a huge bulk of his $1 million-a-season contract.

“I’ve fielded calls from people and clubs and representatives, third parties and all that sort of stuff in between but at this stage I’m not prepared to comment on any of them,” Ayoub said.

“ ... We could in theory sign him for $50,000 easily. It’s not about the money here. It’s about what’s right and what’s wrong.

“At this stage, you know, Robbie’s not going anywhere.”

If the stalemate continues the scenarios boil down to Farah becoming the most expensive reserve grader of all-time next season, Farah and Taylor coming to an uneasy truce and continuing to work together, or an untenable situation forcing Taylor out.

For Farah’s part, Ayoub said he would be prepared to work with the coach.

“They’re both professionals. Well at least one of them is that I know of,” Ayoub said, in a barely disguised swipe at Taylor.

“I daresay that professionals get on with it. I daresay you’ve been through it Noddy (Brett Kimmorley), where you don’t get on so well with a coach but you get on with it and that’s what professionals do.

“I don’t think it will be an issue although there’s a lot of water to go under the bridge before that story’s over.”

I'm with TT.
Initially, I would have liked to see some form of compromise so that Farah could play in the starting 17 next year. While that may still be an option (due to the negotiating powers of big business) I no longer hold that view.
Yes, perhaps this situation could have been handled better, but the fact remains Farah has been identified as surplus to WT requirements, full stop. Time to move on. Paul Vautin gave Farah that advice on live TV and good on him. Farah needed to hear that.
The inferential evidence around Farah from IE Sheens/Potter, combined with the petulance of this effort tells me that he could be a destabilising influence if he remains anywhere around the main playing group. From my perspective, I would rather see our young talent have the opportunity to develop, win or lose, without his influence.
I agree with posts above that say fans have the right to publicly display their affection for Farah. What baffles me is the small mindedness behind the ongoing idolatry. “No Robbie, no members”. Excuse me?
Even in their own banners they are effectively undermining the rest of Wests Tigers team. They have bought into the 'We Wuv Wobbie' spin to the point that they are equating him with Wests Tigers. In essence they are saying Robbie Farah is Wests Tigers, none of the other players matter. No Robbie, we walk, we don't care about the rest of the team. How petty is that? Isn't that part of why he is being moved on?
He's overshadowing the rest of an exciting young playing squad.
So, for all those well meaning Farah supporters you do not represent me at all! You are welcome to walk!
I support Wests Tigers.
Wests Tigers is more than just Robbie Farah.

Yet u can put up with a coach who's idea of coaching is to delete every single experianced player at the club. Sound like a solid plan???
Or could it be he doesn't like anyone with conflicting views???

This could be good, Farah the villian may not be the so called trouble maker many make out.

Just read the Sam Ayoub article.

Shame file?
Can't get the outcome he likes so he stoops to this rubbish.

I've tried hard to stay neutral in all of this but Now I am leaning to the Wests Tigers side. I don't like blackmail.

Why would be the question I would ask….

A dosier  Nice one Sam...Ayoub's threat....Hasn't the Club abided by YOUR wishes to keep it behind closed doors...?

The Day Ayoub releases anything like that Farahs rugby league career is totally finished ! Are we seeing now what previous coaches and club management have had to deal with .
This should be the end of it IMO how could Farah stay now after the club is being blackmailed .

Or could it be he doesn't like anyone with conflicting views???

So when the players approached him just after Origin with concerns about the game plan …you know, conflicting views...would someone that didnt like others with conflicting views agree to their request like he did, would someone that didnt like conflicting views be flexible and respect his players opinions and agree to their request?

You really are clutching.

No idea
