Wests Tigers are a dysfunctional club run by amateurs and blaming everyone but themselves for the current state of affairs. Farah is a part of the problem in that he is overpriced and carries influence in the club. The weak coach and management team want him gone because they see him as a negative impact on their leadership and it is very obvious this negative influence does not extend to the playing group. I strongly believe the major issue we have is our coach in JT. He simply is not first grade standard and has a poor track record with players. He is a poor leader and Farah is an easy scapegoat.

This is a bad strategy by Pascoe who i'd hoped was smarter than this. Farah is in the top 3 players at WT every day of the week. He is a notorious hard trainer and a senior player who just won the NSW Blues Leadership Award. I don't understand how they are going to judge him over the off season and come to any other conclusion than he stays.

I believe this situation can't be repaired. Farah will play NSW cup and Taylor will be sacked after we lose our first 6 games. Either way I am dismayed how we have fallen so far. We are
an embarrassment to Rugby League."

Three issues of note from that article.

Lack of procedural fairness

Farah's welfare and club's duty of care.

It's understood Levick found the reasons aired at the meeting by Taylor were based on hearsay and lacked corroboration.

Probably tells one side of the story but I suppose when Ayoub leaks it to the media it prob will tell his side.

The supposed issues seem like more smoke screens from the Farah camp against a club that is for once this year being professionally run and Robbie is used to getting his own way and Sam is used to dodgy dealings

No doubt Levick has this in hand and action will be pending should the farcical situation eventuate that a current SOO player trains with the NSW Cup team. This after the matter was first raised as a salary cap issue and finally when Farah refused to roll over as a discipline/culture/attitude concern.

Very much so… Hopefully football clubs now realise the 'tap on the shoulder' & 'old boys club mentality' is inappropriate in this professional world.

The mantra moving forward is don't trust players/managers and the percieved relationship, and start managing the business in a manner which protects the company first and foremost.

Pascoe's first statement just said that Farah was welcome to leave, though of course the club would honour his contract if he stayed.

This just reinforces the first statement. He's welcome to leave. If he stays, he'll have his, "attitude and approach to pre-season training appraised." ie, If he behaves like a sook and refuses to listen to the coach, he'll be in reserve grade.

I'm not trying to bag Farah. I think he could be good for us next year. But if he isn't going to follow Taylor's directives, he may as well leave.

Yup. We've just upped the ante. Ayoub needs to do some work that involves more than just getting his media mates to write fluff pieces to win the pr battle.

They don't have to do anything.
Farah has a contract and no matter how the club should try and weasel out of it,
That doesn't change. The CEO is just doing some of the things the club should have already done. At least it seems we now have got someone in management who isn't incompetent.

That is the fact that many seem to be ignoring, he has a Contract and doesn't need to go anywhere.
If Jason Taylor is told tomorrow by the Board to look elsewhere cause the Club want to pursue a different direction, you think JT will resign his post with 2 years to go and give up maybe $500,000 of his Contract money? Of course his not, same as Farah.

Farah is 32 years old, his not getting any younger and is maybe not bothered hanging around and seeing if that threat of being moved to Reserve Grade will be Materialised. By the time this Contract is done he will go to England anyway so I don't think he's probably bothered by the threat and couldn't care less earning a million dollars per year playing Reserve Grade.
I dare say Farah has maybe taken it personal and is maybe thinking if I'm leaving the Club? JT your coming with me.

Maybe JT should be the one shopping Farah around not Ayoub, Ayoub has done his job already with Farah's current Contract. I don't know why people are getting on Ayoub case for, his probably having a giggle to himself at the lengths the Club has gone to and draw the attention away from JT's Coaching.

Regardless there are no winners in all this and if it isn't sorted one way or another? Next year is over before it's begun.

I was thinking the same about the invite :laughing:.

Farah maybe is a destabilising influence on the Squad and players feel threatened with his presence in the team? Who knows…...but it doesn't takeaway the fact he has a Contract and is entitled to do whatever he chooses. Of course he has to abide by the things in his Contract but his entitled to do what he wants despite the sook tag he will of course be labelled, but it's up to him I suppose.

Personally I wanted it sorted and for the sake of us progressing in the right direction next year!!! I think it will be to toxic for both being here next year.

It seems this has become a personal battle now and doesn't matter which side of the fence you sit with this topic? It is not a good thing for our Club in terms of Season ticket sales, Merchandise sales, Member sales.

I think people are ignoring the fact the club can terminate his contract if he is in breach. And given the antics Farah's camp has pulled in the media, it's little wonder the club has gone in this direction.

Trying to implement a winning positive culture ay? To me seems that they are:

1) Trying to get rid of Farah for ulterior motives
2) Weasel their way out of paying 2 million at the same time.

Geez all the other players must be thinking what an honest and positive culture we have, don't mention winning culture for obvious reasons.

Believe me the way this has been played out, it's obvious that all parties involved couldn't give 2 cents about the club, it's all about egos and self preservation and financial gain. The only people that care about the club are on this forum and even here it has turned into a case of divide and conquer.

I give the current Tigers board and football operations a big 0.

Finally we have some procedural action for a performance issue instead of chinese whispers.

Team Farah wanted a meeting to find out why he is being treated this way. Everything was fully explained and put into a performance plan. All their shock and awe about the detail doesn't surprise me, it is quite common that people are shocked about how other people see their behaviour. It only ever goes down this path when the normal approaches fail, you know, the quiet word. A man to man conversation.

The ball is in Farah's court now. He can train and play first grade for the next 2 years at the Wests Tigers so long as he changes his behaviour and or attitude.

I don't know what that is exactly but it must be something serious for it to ever go down this path.

The club have made it quite clear, change attitude/behaviour and you are a "one club" player. Don't, and you are training and playing with the reggies.

We need to grow a set and put this piece of garbage in his place

Nah ,I prefer zimmer frames mate , make it in my favourite mud and bloods colours :laughing:

Actually they might get back in the Intrust Super Cup before the WT's win a premiership

I do agree with or without Farah next year we are in for a miserable year, I was more saying in terms of taking small steps in the improvement of how we are playing as a team not having this lingering feud going into next year.

You know full well that when we are loosing next year and if Farah stays the media will have a continuation of the reasons why we are failing.

2) As for attitude, does anyone know if Robbie has actively altered the outcome of any matches these season based on his attitude?

3) In regards to procedual matters? why was that not implemented back when this first came out why now? Looks weird?

Is Robbie a tool? Maybe..I don't personally know him? should he move on? Probably? Though JT's character is also questionable, he was punched out by his own player, urinates in public, told Michael Hagan that he is farked in public stating that Hagan destroyed the knights and that Brian Smith at the time "had to clean up the mess"?

Just saying two emotional fellas and an incompetent board = the status quo? Maybe?

Now it's escalated and looking somewhat embarrassing. Maybe this is Brian Smiths football review playing out now in the field? After all he did the review and JT got the coaching gig? Maybe? We may never know, that's why have law and contracts the rest as you say is Chinese whispers?

Your entire point relies on the assumption that WT has enough in the piggy bank for a golden handshake. Really??

Farah has a contract…wow...Galloway had a contract too ..was told to look elsewhere for a while....did so and moved on with dignity.... In fact the list of players who have contracts with other Clubs and been moved on before they expired is endless in recent times,,,

For whatever reason...rightly or wrongly Robbie Farah has been told to look elsewhere... just do so .... Be remembered as the Legend you are not the Pariah you are becoming...

As for those already writing of next Year well 15th 13th and 15th were so much better with Farah....2016 just may surprise a few experts...
