FT, you're right it would be a lot cheaper to get rid of JT over Farah, but the crux of it is that they are backing JT over Farah. The issue isn't which one would cost the club less to see the back of. They're allowing him to do his job, and that's a good thing whether you agree with this decision or not.

To me Jason Taylor dug his own hole further with the Ballin signing IMO, made things alot messier.
Ballin is a fantastic player and I've always been a massive fan of his but in this situation we have just muddied things up more.

JT has finally got his wish let's see what he has now, I'm not expecting a top 8 finish to see out his final year….a 10th to 12th finish is respectable for the squad he has at his disposable
A 14th - 16th finish? He has to take ownership and admit he simply hasn't got it.

It's a great thing the Club and Board backing JT to do his job but the way his gone about this Farah saga? To me he has alot to be desired with player managing skills.

I have listened to Taylor speak twice now of late and both times I have thought that it sounded positive - and yet after both interviews - what he projected was happening and what really seems to be happening are two very different things. He clearly stated Robbie has decided to stay - a few days later Farah asks for a release, also stated that he has a great relationship with the halves and the club is building their future around them- seems like that's not the case. The fact that he can be so off the mark says to me that he is either completely delusional, or the biggest fear is that he refuses to accept that we are in a big mess, and that he in some respects is accountable for most of it.
Anyway there are those on here who want to back him to the hilt as long as he gets rid of FARAH and regardless of the fall out that it causes - the same who say no one man is bigger than the club. Does that apply to coaches too - I wonder?

Telltails,

You raise a very interesting point about how an NRL coach can be so out of touch with his leading players. Seems to come back to his ability or capacity to form positive relationships. I can't see how a coach can get the best from his team if he is unable or unwilling to accept their views.

I'm hearing the reason why Moses and Brooks asked for an extension is cause they want to know who will be the Coach….they obviously don't want to be Coached by him. Taylor is apparently a few losses away from being unemployed

Lol

Wasn't Di Girolamo part of the old board that approved Robbie's 950k deal and left the club in the current salary cap mess it is in? As for Brooks and Moses being shopped around, it may not be the clubv doing this.
The fact that Farah is meeting with 2 of the most promising youngsters before requesting a release is stunning. This is a matter between Robbie and the club, if he is pulling other players into the games being played, I think that is pretty good example of the culture he represents and why the club are moving him on.
If Farah goes, will his pride see him do all he can to undermine the tigers in the future (e.g. recomend to any of the young blokes whose ear he has move on?).

.

"Robbie bleeds black and gold, obviously, it's a difficult time for him," Di Girolamo told Fairfax Media.

"He's a Tiger junior who played for the club for 13 years. One of his greatest concerns is letting down <big>**his**</bigfans.

Sums him up.
"his fans"
You're **part** of a team Robbie, you're not **THE** team.

How sad our ex chairman doesn't even know the clubs colours

Pee off now

I know some of you are feeling a bit of emotional pain ATM and feel for you even though I am very comfortable with the situation. A few matches of quick and accurate out in front service from dummy half will soon see you get onboard the need for change wagon.

Robbie was a fantastic player through to the last five minutes or so of our 2011 campaign and sadly has been on the wane since then as a player. He showed at Campbo that despite his deficiencies in getting the ball off the ground to receivers, he still has the ability to deliver.

Just like I am happy to see Benji going better than he was, I hope to see him carry on his career, but at the same time he lost me last year so happy to see the back of him.

Players and coaches come and go, its how sport continues.
Some decisions we may agree with, others we don't.
_**The only thing that should not change is our support of wests tigers.**_ :sign:

Farah revealed after a golden-point loss in 2010 that he deals with defeat by shutting himself off from family, friends and teammates, and has gone to such lengths as to turn his phone off for 36 hours after a game.

Nice try you Muppet, enjoy your bingo day

Well if Farah does stay with the Tigers I look forward with glee to booing him every time he touches the ball in NSW Cup next year because of what he has put this club through both this year and last year and continues to do.

As for Nick Di Girolamo this is how he was described at ICAC
THE head of Australian Water Holdings Nick Di Girolamo was just an “old fashioned shyster, fraudster”, counsel assisting the Independent Commission Against Corruption Geoffrey Watson said yesterday.

And JT pissed into a cup and threw it at other fans on the hill when he was off his face.

So what??

Lets stick to what they are doing now…..let history goooooooo.

Old Robbie has a few colourful characters in his corner
Time to go Rob… Maybe Sheens had a spot for him at Salford, Koukash is nice and dodgy too... Will fit right in

If we need to let history go, then we need to let Farah go. I'd say a good 90% of the reason why people don't want him to leave is due to nostalgic reasons. He hasn't been the player he use to be for 3 yrs. People have a really hard time letting go.

It's now a game of poker and we are at Best and Final Offers.

Robbie has played this fairly well. He really hasn't said anything publically himself (lots of "reportedly" but no quotes) whereas the Tigers have been pretty forthcoming with comments stating that he was free to negotiate and that the club would honour its financial commitment to Robbie.

All Robbie is now doing is really calling their bluff. I did what you wanted me to and I am merely claiming the dollars you promised.

When this all started, I think JT would have thought that RF would have walked and that someone would have picked him up (and paid a fair price to do so).

Pascoe has said that the numbers have to add up….and I guess they don't.

If we need to let history go, I say let JT go.

He took us from a very nice attacking team to a boring bunch of plodders overnight.

Farah is the incumbent NSW hoooker.

One has form….the other.......

I think you are confusing Taylor with Potter. Taylor actually improved the attack over what Potter had done in his two years. Oh, and he also improved the defence. Carry on…..
