He clearly stated Robbie has decided to stay - a few days later Farah asks for a release, also stated that he has a great relationship with the halves and the club is building their future around them- seems like that's not the case. The fact that he can be so off the mark says to me that he is either completely delusional, or the biggest fear is that he refuses to accept that we are in a big mess, and that he in some respects is accountable for most of it.
Anyway there are those on here who want to back him to the hilt as long as he gets rid of FARAH and regardless of the fall out that it causes - the same who say no one man is bigger than the club. Does that apply to coaches too - I wonder?

You raise a very interesting point about how an NRL coach can be so out of touch with his leading players. Seems to come back to his ability or capacity to form positive relationships. I can't see how a coach can get the best from his team if he is unable or unwilling to accept their views.

Wasn't Di Girolamo part of the old board that approved Robbie's 950k deal and left the club in the current salary cap mess it is in? As for Brooks and Moses being shopped around, it may not be the clubv doing this.
The fact that Farah is meeting with 2 of the most promising youngsters before requesting a release is stunning. This is a matter between Robbie and the club, if he is pulling other players into the games being played, I think that is pretty good example of the culture he represents and why the club are moving him on.
If Farah goes, will his pride see him do all he can to undermine the tigers in the future (e.g. recomend to any of the young blokes whose ear he has move on?).

I know some of you are feeling a bit of emotional pain ATM and feel for you even though I am very comfortable with the situation. A few matches of quick and accurate out in front service from dummy half will soon see you get onboard the need for change wagon.
Robbie was a fantastic player through to the last five minutes or so of our 2011 campaign and sadly has been on the wane since then as a player. He showed at Campbo that despite his deficiencies in getting the ball off the ground to receivers, he still has the ability to deliver.
Just like I am happy to see Benji going better than he was, I hope to see him carry on his career, but at the same time he lost me last year so happy to see the back of him.

Farah revealed after a golden-point loss in 2010 that he deals with defeat by shutting himself off from family, friends and teammates, and has gone to such lengths as to turn his phone off for 36 hours after a game.

Well if Farah does stay with the Tigers I look forward with glee to booing him every time he touches the ball in NSW Cup next year because of what he has put this club through both this year and last year and continues to do.

If we need to let history go, then we need to let Farah go. I'd say a good 90% of the reason why people don't want him to leave is due to nostalgic reasons. He hasn't been the player he use to be for 3 yrs. People have a really hard time letting go.
It's now a game of poker and we are at Best and Final Offers.
Robbie has played this fairly well. He really hasn't said anything publically himself (lots of "reportedly" but no quotes) whereas the Tigers have been pretty forthcoming with comments stating that he was free to negotiate and that the club would honour its financial commitment to Robbie.
All Robbie is now doing is really calling their bluff. I did what you wanted me to and I am merely claiming the dollars you promised.
When this all started, I think JT would have thought that RF would have walked and that someone would have picked him up (and paid a fair price to do so).
Pascoe has said that the numbers have to add up….and I guess they don't.
