Robbie - Gone as an attacking threat?

I am one of Robbie's biggest fans what he has done for this club will never be unnoticed and in my opinion the best player to put on the jersey besides Benji but I'm going to be brutally honest here Robbie isn't trying out there in defence he puts his heart in every tackle but besides that he really offers nothing.

I think Robbie still has it for one particular reason after watching this game which was very late in the season last year rd 25 it was one of the most damaging individual performances Robbie has ever played this game was a historical one because it was the day the rally occurred at Campbelltown

Watch This! Particularly the first 2 mins

https://youtu.be/NdoGhxeSoiw

It looked like he wanted to be there and was enjoying his time and his aim was to make Jason Taylor look like a fool which he successfully did under JT he doesn't want to perform it's clear

After watching those highlights when Robbie plays well the whole team plays well it's like a domino effect, that game I remember very clearly our forwards ran over there pack and our backs also showed the warriors up!

Now I'm not gonna bring this BS that we haven't won a game with Robbie and he's bringing the team down and that "the 900k player" should be doing better etc etc if anyone remembers he took a lot of pay cuts for us to bring players to the club which he is now rewarded for with the 900K which he deserves if it wasn't for all the pay cuts he'd be on like 500-600K

Robbie loves this club more than anyone but he's just not trying under JT and as much as it hurts me to say this he needs to leave after this season for the better of the club and himself

I think most of these anti- Farah comments miss the fact that comparisons with Smith and Ennis are only valid IF the forward pack around him provide the same level of impact.

Farah has, for multiple years, has had to play out of his skin because of the deficit of Galloway and, yes Woods FFS, in providing the consistent grunt and go-forward that a damaging dummy half needs.

He is only going to get better this season ( he has played only 5 games ).

It seems that people have nothing else to talk about.[/quote

Zero from 5….Can't get much worse.

Wow!!!!!!!!! Loved the highlight package, that really stood the hairs on the back of my neck up. The fact of the matter is that this team HSS been in transition for the last 4-5 years, now it wasn't suppose to take this long but due to circumstances it is what it is.
The footage on the video was when we were an ultra competitive team, fast forward to rd 7 2016 and we are a shadow of the team from that period.
Robbie's game on the weekend was fine in my eyes, and to compare Ennis and other hookers who are in competitive teams at present to his is totally unfair. At the end of the day its got to be up to our halves to take control of games and finish games off. We are just being too over critical of Farah as we are losing games.

Robbie was good… Cameron on the other hand, wasn't all that crash-hot.

I don't think Smith is a valid comparison - he's been very ordinary in 2016\. Game looks to have passed him by as well.
Not that the media will ever mention it.

It is true that Farah is slowing down noticeably and that he is no longer one of the rare breed of game breaking hooker. However, I agree with others that he had a very solid game on Sunday and that he was effective in attack and defense.

Sssh, I want to win origin this year. Meninga is going to pick Smith at Hooker and Inglis at fullback. If Cronk gets injured he'll do something even sillier and pick Chery Evans.

And they're going to lose.

So lets all praise Smith, Cronk and Inglis for the excellent form they're showing at this stage in their careers.

Meninga won't be picking them for QLD ,but he will be picking them for Australia.
Worrying.

As much as many of you will disagree, Farah is doing exactly what Taylor and Potter asked him to do. He's playing simple footy and letting the halves run the plays.

Its been reported several times in the last 3 years. For some reason its taken a lot of you to finally notice it.

Perhaps you might drop the Farah hate while you're at it. But that might take another 3 years.

HOORAY!!!! Somebody has finally stated the bleeding obvious.
Farah isn't the instigator of our attack anymore, this is a coaching decision and it's fairly obvious. To those of you wondering where Robbies attack has gone i seriously question your knowledge of rugby league and in particular your attention to what is going on in this club.
Lets me make it clear, Robbie has passed on the gauntlet to our young halves.
SO YES, HIS ATTACKING DAYS ARE OVER, THEY WERE OVER FOR THE ENTIRE 2015 SEASON IF YOU DIDN'T NOTICE. Seriously don't know what game you guys have been watching.

This is why all the bullshit talk about Farah trying yo get rid of Taylor is BS.

Farah has adopted Taylor's structures from day 1\. Just like he did with Potter.

Many people would be surprised/disappointed to know that Farah had little to nothing to do with Potter's sacking and he's not involved at all in any push to get rid of Taylor.

I'm not in the Farah hater camp but I still feel he has lost some or a lot of speed off the mark and he isn't making busts anymore.

I also think he can still create opportunities and he is doing that. The no penalty try for Lawrence was an example of Robbie creating a great opportunity for us. Still in the same game we were on the attack and on the 5th tackle he passed it to the ground. The way I see it he might be the better player out of himself, Brooks and Moses but at the moment that bar is being set pretty low.

As for Robbie trying to sack Taylor and Potter I think that is palava and it's just a stupid thing that people jump on to try and run him down. He has been a great player for us and he deserved better treatment than what he has received. I think he should have been retained as captain and given this year and next to see out his career with us.

One or two poor passes from a dummy half every game is not a bad effort and I think everyone is being very bitchy if they want to deride him for that.

Smith had a shocker against us. Farah outplayed him completely for the first time in a long time.

His attacking role has diminished over the last couple of seasons but that shouldn't effect his playing ability when given the chance to take the game on.

He has lost pace & spark. The Benji era days when he was a standout hooker are way behind him. It's not about taking control of the side or him being restricted. He has done nothing with the opportunities when presented, he lacks that spring in his step and lost the flair he once had.

His performance curve us dipping as you would expect when you pass your peak and are getting on in age. I doubt anyone hates him, most are frustrated that a 900k player is doing 'his role' just like any 250k player could. 900k should get you MOM performances.

A club legend for sure, but that doesn't mean you keep him in the side just because he is still on contract. He ain't worth half the money he is on, so unless his form changes, that is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

Robbie still has the skills. As an individual, he is still one of the best hookers in the game. He just doesn't fit into the chemistry of this side. It's all about chemistry.

One of his pet plays was running out of dummy half, lining up a runner one-on-one with a defender and try to put his man through. He'd mix-and-match it with Benji and Lawrence. That was the Moltzen move. Don't remember the last time I saw it.

The erratic nature of our halves and tits where some of our forwards' hands should be mean that sometimes he has to cut his losses and take the metres on offer. It's depressing, but it's what he's gotta do…

I think his constant, and most likely ongoing back injuries have prevented him from being able to do that any more.

At least we have hooker options far better than Joel Luani and Masada Iosefa now.

Was just looking at the draw and I noticed our last game of the year is against the Raiders at Leichhardt.

If Farah came out a couple of weeks before that game and announced he was going to England next year? He would have Leichardt Oval packed for his and Halatau's farewell game…..regardless how we'd be playing, i know I will be down there if it was to happen.

But just that act of kindness would be something never seen before and in return would guarantee himself a job in Some Capacity at our Club when his playing Days are over.
The difference could be a $400,000 sacrifice for next year if he went to England but he would make up for it down the track.

Farah make Leichhardt Round 26 your last and the place will be packed.

Why would you want him at the club once his playing days are over ?
I wouldn't !
