Round 1 2017

As long as that waste of space Rankin isn't in the team come Round 1, 2017 I'll be happy. That imbecile should NEVER wear a first grade Tigers jersey ever again

One would think this will happen now that Idris is Official.

I think Idris/Ramkin combination have a lot of similarities to Leulia/Rapana at the raiders. A big strong centre with an ability to attract defenders and offload to a winger who has the initials JR, who came from the gold coast, missed several years of NRL after their debut and is arguably out of position on the wing.

It was on Sunrise morning news, which a workmate commented on it.

It's not from the Club so it ain't Official.

Farah financial legacy is going to hurt us in 2017\. I'm looking forward to 2018 season when we are on a more level playing field financially with the other clubs and have the funds for some really decent recruiting.

He only joined us late in the season but from what I saw he looked like a goer. Fairly quick, pretty strong and aggressive, decent finisher and in defence. A pretty solid all round youngster.

I'd say he's the best prospect of our NSW cup wingers. Karwhin the other main wing prospect currently at the club. Ioelu a bit further down the track but a possibility one day.

It is funny how so many people throughout this thread name almost the exact same side as this season. We weren't good enough, and will need 3-4 new faces at least to come into our 17.

Our prop stocks look good with Woods, Ava, Grant, Felise and Sue all on NRL contracts, and then the likes of Paseka, Grant and Lolo and maybe even Tatola coming waiting in the wings too. All of whom could do a good job in first grade I reckon.

If Torch is to be trusted then paseka is in the top 25 next year

Pretty sure he started out there for the warriors and made kiwis playing that position.

Also would be defending inside Mitch Moses on the right

I like the idea of him defending near Moses. It might tighten that side up. I'm worried he would have any impact out wide though. It's not a bad idea though. 3 middle forwards belting it up all game and two backrowers that should be able to play 80 minutes.

Round 1 will be interesting, as always. I'll be interested to see if we end up re-signing Elijah Taylor or if any other signings are made. Sam Tagatese is off contract and he'd be good for a 2 year deal IMO. Anyway, based on what we have so far:

1\. Tedesco
2\. Nofoaluma
3\. Naiqama
4\. Idris
5\. Simona
6\. Moses

Geez Idris has been out of the game for over 2 years, I doubt he will be fit enough to be in the side come round one.

That long Flip? Thought he only missed this season and part of last after surgery.

I think he will be fine, he has been training for quite a while now, and is down 10kg to 110kg.

Idris will have a full offseason of training and a couple of trials & potentially the nines. He should be more or less ready by then, little difference to a player that is coming back from a major injury.

Pretty sure it was all of 2015 and all of this season, but I could be wrong. Either way, it's a fair time out of Rugby League and it will take him a while to get match fit, I imagine.
