My question is why do these good players believe that Benji is actually a good coach? Where is this undying allegiance to Benji coming from? He has no track record for anyone to believe he is a good coach.

Maybe they see something we don’t. All I can see is a bunch of potentially good players not really improving and totally unable to play together as a team.

Would be interesting if all players wrote what they like and / or disliked about Benji’s coaching, anonymously without fear or favour tossed it into a bin for Benji to read as part of his training. He’s training himself as far as I understand? Perhaps with input from Bennett and others.
Sometimes he seems to let players off the hook. Latu has been playing poorly and Benji says his main goal is to play 80min. He’s a pro athlete on $500k pa?

Fullbacks tend to take the hit up before the kick because they don’t chase the kick anyway. It essentially creates another onside chaser for the kicking team.

Agreed it is a big concern.
Watching Parramatta and Souths both play with great intent, put their bodies on the line in defence, running the ball as hard as they can and moving the ball to their speed men outside whenever they could.
This showed it’s not as difficult as what we make it to be with our soft defence, half hearted running and inability to move the ball wide. Not selecting any pace in the team out wide is a problem within itself.
I know Richo is not the coach, but for the good of the team surely he speaks with Benji today or tomorrow and states we do not play injured players who cannot or will not do things anywhere near 💯.
We ensure we select at least one winger with speed.
We do something to ensure there is creativity and stop the constant one out running, we ensure players who are not willing to demonstrate good line speed do not play long minutes and we ensure we have a long kicking game with a much better kick chase and effort to contest high balls then what we keep showing.

Vic, what you say is sensible, but there is no way Richo will say anything to benji. He is giving him enough rope to hang himself. Richo wants to distance himself from this repeat drive for the spoon.
