I don't.

Packer and Matulino for Woods and Ava is an upgrade at best. Sideways at worst. JJ, Tatola et al will be a year more developed too.

Focus now needs to turn to the fullback situation.

Alioai, Alex twal, mautilino, packer (if confirmed), tatola, jj. Prop rotation is looking good. Now a goal kicking winger and a fullback to get on the bus.

That rotation looks inexperienced and weak to me

That's probably because he hasn't put Sue in there, who will be our 3rd/4th prop. Matulino, Packer, Sue, Felise would be fine.

Another prop shouldn't be our next priority now but if we've got some cash left after improving the back line and getting a strike second rower (if possible) it'd be good to go after a Paasi or Ofahengaue - a decent 3rd/4th prop with some impact.

Yes sorry forgot Sue. He has come great since he has moved in the middle. Another prop would be good, but definitely our priority now is finalising the backline. I think we all need to be patient. We will not build our roster for 2018 overnight. We will also see other teams need to offload players. We have the cash , lets not spend it for the sake of it. I couldnt be happier with the new players we have added, hopefully in due time more good players come on board.

Agree …... forwards pack needs one more prop + good 2nd row.

Adam Blair is experienced and off contract

Woods is almost always put on his back which means his play the balls are in slow motion, I think its the way he runs usually bum first when he makes contact.

There may be some very good talent still to be had but it all depends on what the actual salary cap will be.

The RLPA and some prominent clubs are holding meetings to try and get the NRL to raise the cap that was already announced.

Why? Because they have already spent above that limit. If the NRL don't budge then expect the Roosters, Bulldogs and Penrith to release players to be cap compliant.

after seeing photos of the kid he knocked out with black eyes and all in hospital i wouldn't bee too fussed if we didn't get him.

The talk bout Tui Lolohea also seems to have gone cold since Tuesday, what's the talk on his situation? Is he really our best option for fullback? I'm hearing he wants ridiculous $$ up around the 800K/season mark which if true is ridiculous given he can't even make Warriors best 17 each week. Does anyone feel Hopoate is worth a decent look if we can get him to agree to play Sunday's? Prob pick him up for a fairly decent price.

Media saying there are at least 4 clubs trying to get the cap increased for next year and had a private meeting with the NRL this week about it.

Roosters, Dogs and Raiders were named.

So you can stockpile the best talent and purchase the best players from less powerful clubs and plead to the NRL to increase the cap so they can all be retained! Time for the NRL to direct the clubs to become cap compliant with a deadline. We'll see then what players are really available.

Roosters have a salary sombrero they don't need an increase. Maybe the chooks and dogs should have considered their cap position before signing Teddy, Woods and Foran.

i hope it wont happen . they shouldnt of overspent and then just expect the other clubs to tow the line. i want them to suffer. and see other clubs poach their players. seriously how are the doggies under the cap with foran coming aboard. they have been spending money like drunken sailors and the games integrity is most important

This is rubbish, I severely dislike woods these days but he wins more PTBs than any other forward we have, and more often than not he does not end up on his back

Dogs and chooks both still have a lot of players off contract so it'll be very interesting to see how many need to culled to comply. From memory there's about 5 or more regular first graders from both sides who are unsigned thus far. If the tigers are smart they'd save some kitty $$ for a while and snap up a few solid bargains later in the year when teams like dogs and chooks desperate to shed players.
