@NT Tiger said:To me it is worth considering that those fans who don't want to look at stats that show improvement, and don't want to give Jason Taylor the benefit of the doubt re his efforts to build a winning culture, but instead bay for his blood with a short term win at all costs viewpoint, are a big part of the reason WT is in this mess in the first place. Previous administrations have been afraid of the potential backlash from fans and so did whatever it took to try to keep an overpriced playing roster on the field while concealing the mess they created.
Anybody here call for changes to WT management in the past?
Anybody frustrated with WT this seasons results? (Probably no-one more so than Jason Taylor.)
Anybody really think it will help to continue to bay for Taylor's blood?
How about we have a little bit of faith in the people who are now working their way through the mess we asked to have cleaned up and who are not afraid to make the hard decisions.

There has to be an agenda if anyone is supporting JT at this point. Its that simple. I have no idea what the agenda is but it has nothing to do with the Tigers being successful and winning games.
Been at the same place for few weeks now. I made the mistake of thinking they were just stupid people who couldnt see what was happening. Not anymore.

I agree with you.
You aren't going to convince these people by appealing to logic or calmness. I can't help myself, but it's ultimately useless… the argument is unwinnable, because they move the goalposts on you.
They might say all they want is improvement... not miracles, just improvement. So you pull up some stats, some places where improvement can be argued to have occurred. But they either give it the old "you can make stats say anything" line that climate sceptics use, or they say "stats are meaningless to me, I know what I see".
In reality, the argument about Taylor is a non-argument, because unless his contract allows us to terminate on certain first-year KPIs (such as coming last), then we would have to pay him out. We hardly have enough money to pay the bills, let alone add another ex-coach to the books.
So people who want JT gone are currently wasting their time, just as sure as we are wasting our time trying to argue reason. Yet both sides keep posting and emploring.
What surprises me is why this season is so bad, if memory serves me right... we often miss the finals, but I am not used to the forum taking it so badly. I am not sure if it is the manner of failing, potentially being last, or if too many people had built up expectations about what the new mgmt and coach could really achieve in the first year.

It's not an agenda it's an understanding of how bad a place this club is at
But if you wish to ignore everything you see on field with the 15 other clubs who have far better talent and manage to work within the same cap
If the WTs in 12 months time are in the same place you have every right to be banging the doors in wanting change
Give Taylor at least the same chance that Potter got
Signed from one of the "stupid people" who simply doesn't agree with your opinion
Nothing more or less

@innsaneink said:I think - one possible reason - it may be because he seems to choose his words poorly
Saying he's happy with the defence when we lose 8-33….Im guessing he means he's happy with certain aspects of it.
Saying results dont matter - when really at this stage of the year they really dont - but thats not what the shareholder wants to hear...sometimes being too honest is the wrong way to go.
Spin is delicate - lay it on too thick (Ms Go) much and people see it right thru it....not enough spin and youll have a pissed off fanbase
