I'd like to see what Daniel Anderson could do with the team. He's a commentator on the ABC and he sounds like a very intelligent bloke. Plus, he took Parramatta to the Grand Final… He must be good!

I agree Anderson is a good coach, but we must remember that the run to the 2009 GF was thanks largely to the Hayne and Mateo show.

I am sure you'll find by the time Mateo came back into the side Parra were already on a roll. I remember this because i remember that he'd been out injured and couldn't force his way back into the side and Paul Osbourne was very cocky saying that he had had a meeting with Metao and had told him 'its hard to break into a side that are winning by 20 every week'. God that guy got what he deserved. Nothing but a grubby politician

Plenty more to come out about Paul Osbourne but Yes off topic.
Sheens won't be sacked so there is no need to keep starting these threads.

Who said anything about proving anything?
Waaay out of context.

He's been involved in the game at the top level for 35 years, coached at the top level for over ten….has continued to be involved in footy since he ''stopped'' coaching....you dont forget, or in his case he would still be up to date with all the latest coaching techniques just being around the weights room 6 days a week

The context is that I was asked to give reasons why, Folkes shouldn't replace Sheens. Folkes involvement with NRL clubs since ceasing head coach duties has been that of an assistant (apart from time with the Windies) I don't see this justifies Sheens being sacked and replaced by Folkes at the moment.

Sack him, he has no good game plans tigers have had enough of listening to the same voice over and over sack him and let him take his groat with him

Looks like he's got the full support of the board this week????????

even if we win the premiership, thank sheens for all the effort he has put in and respectfully show him the door.

it's time for a change.

nah i've been saying that for years, cbf repeating what i've said earlier. maybe it's somewhere earlier in this thread. or the todd payten thread.

I think the forum fans just want a new coach to put the knife into … Becomes boring knifing the same bloke week after week .... Even though we are semi finals bound yet again, he's still no good !

On 2nd thoughts get rid of sheens and bring back the glory days of the 90s and onwards when you could add both the magpies and balmain wins together and stil not make the finals

Don't laugh TB … There are fans on here who would welcome that with open arms !
The "glory days" dear oh dear oh dear !!

do u think benji farah lawrence etc have reached their potential? sheens always keeps saying benji has a lot of improvement still and all i see week in week out is the same old benji.

all great players have played under several coaches all of who polish their game that little bit extra.

benji robbie etc arent getting any younger, i want them to reach their potential before they are 40 and sheens has had 10 years with them and i dont see much difference in the last three year.

the whole system at wests tigers needs a change.

classic example was on sunday roast today: "i wanted robbie to come off the bench, but he wanted to play on the run on side" core players have too much control. they think one bad game is OK, it's just sheens. that's why a change is needed.

U dont appreciate what u have till its gone . have a look at the instability at a number of clubs and look at the stable ones and its a strong Egotistical coach ! Im puzzled by some sheens decisions but as a whole he has built a very strong club juniors to seniors and i dont want to risk it on a new age coach . we seem to be geting th players we want now and are seen as a club to want to be at with a winning culture

So you would haul off someone who didn't want to come off just for the sake of giving Humble a run …. Glad your not coaching the team.

@Tigerdave said:
Some of his decisions go beyond shocking. Here's Humble warming the bench for 76+ minutes….

Where would Humble go? The whole backline was playing well, and it was a close game, so I wouldn't have put him in either. He was there as a utility, and we didn't need him, so that's why Sheens didn't play him until 76+ minutes

….. I'm suggesting he probably shouldn't have been there to begin with and we should have had another forward there instead

he was there as cover for Robbie, given he was backing up from SOO.

I cant believe that people are still calling for Sheens to be sacked.

5 wins in a row on the back of consecutive top 4 finishes, does he have to walk on water before people give him a break.
