I think if Sheens was really interested in Coaching in the NRL he wouldn't have waited 10 years to come back...
Maybe he just preferred living in England

I was born in the UK came to Oz when i was 12 and went back for a holiday for 2 years in the early 70s at the age of 20.People there are reasonably friendly but have a very narrow outlook on life.The country just seemed far more insular and less accomodating than what i like,also racism seemed far more entrenched there than here.
Decent place for a holiday but thats about it,i certainly would not like to live there
Heard Australia described as insular too
We are in many ways but are more open than most countries.I would say the UK as a whole would be more open than England.The UK would certainly be more open minded than the USA.
