@Tigertigertiger said:He should but Taylor won't give him that satisfaction, would be nice to send DH and RF out that way
How awkward for DH a mate of Farahs to be given a send off at Leichardt - not a one club man and nothing for Farah!!
And still the silence is deafening - makes you start to wonder.
@everett said:Should he get a chance to farewell in his last game. Big Yes from me
Will he get a chance. A big NO from Taylor.
Sad our two heros from 2005 will finish their careers in the State Cup.

Fox are reporting that benji will play in the last game. I'm sure if Farah signs elsewhere taylor will afford him the same respect.
But him moving on seems to have stalled.
@matchball said:Benji got dumped yesterday. Where is the outrage for a club legend?
Don't see him kicking and screaming to the journalists.
@Masterton said:@Benjirific said:It says a lot about where we've been taken as a club when so many people are vehemently against the biggest player this club has produced being allowed one last game at the home ground he treasures most (let's not kid ourselves).
If in all likelihood the game is a dead-rubber, what are the drawbacks?
The possible drawback is that if he still hasn't signed for another club, he could take it as a sign that he has forced his way back into firsts and should hang around for another season.

Do we need another Farah/Taylor season? Will the club still have any supporters?
@hammertime said:@Sataris said:This is the kind of sentimental nonsense that ensures that the club will not progress forwards.
This is a professional and competitive environment, If he's not up to it anymore then he shouldn't be playing.
Thanks for the memories and the service, but RF is not the WT and WT are not RF.
Seriously can't believe people are actually thinking like this.
I'm not a Robbie supporter by any stretch. I was, but not after what he has done.
But I think he deserves a farewell. We are a club that will never complete solely with the chequebook. We need to show the juniors that you'll suffer consequenses if you don't meet expectations, but the club will still take the high ground and treat you with repect when appropriate, even if you haven't shown the club any.
We need to retain our players by instilling in our juniors with culture, pride, passion and mateship.
We'll never be a force if we complete on money alone.

Interesting we probably arent going to do the same for one of our club legends. We really could take a leaf out of the dragons book on treating people with respect and dignity.

If Marshall slagged Saints off in the media, he probably wouldn't get a farewell either. How hard is it for some of you to understand.

Actually , Marshall and mcregor were involved in a very loud and angry confrontation a few weeks ago, which made its way to the media. Only difference the coaches ego is not getting in the way of sending off a great servant of the game.

If you can find a quote where Marshall directly slagged Mary off to the media, in front of cameras i will stand corrected. An argument behind closed doors is hearsay, and even if true is fine as there's probably been dozens and dozens of cases of it between players and coaches over the yrs. The difference is Farah told the media directly. No matter how justified his comments were you simply don't do that, and for all you know JT could be under a directive from above not to pick Farah due to his public insubordination. But JT will always be an easy target and scapegoat.

No, it started halfway through last season when Farah was told he was free to negotiate with other clubs.
