Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What influence is that? The kids laughing on the sideline when you're out on the field getting pumped in a game v 16th?

I'd rather have Koroisau than not, but leave the superlatives out of it. He is a player that leads ON the field, and that's it. He admits it himself that he hasn't been comfortable with the main leadership role in the sheds for the past couple of seasons, and has struggled with it.
The role of mentor which was one of his motivations for returning to the Panthers for the second time. He has said the Panthers had such a talented group of players who in his opinion are easier to play with and mould. I don't doubt he has had a similar impact on many of our younger players as he did at the Panthers. Being a mentor extends off the field as well.

even as a Tigers fan you can see what Madge wanted from his 9.

first and foremost it was about defensive technique. Api could only dream of making the impact defensively Robson did. some of his contact and efforts to scramble were top shelf. Api can make a good tackle, but he can't defend the way Robson does.

in attack it was all about clean, crisp service to bring that massive back five and the pack onto the ball. again, Api's got good service, but is as good as Robson's? not a chance.

even though I think Api is the much better attacking hooker, it was the right call for the style of football they wanted to adopt. if Api's to be picked again I'd say there's a fair chance it'll be as a bench hooker.

Terrell and Samuela are our bolters for this year's side I think. will be interesting to see what Daley does if Moses, Luai and Cleary are all fit.
I think you need to put your Tigers glasses back on and re read my post. 😎

If mulitalo is actually an option him. Taylan is stood down and might never play again. A bird in the hand ...
Mulitalo is a class player for sure, just don't think we can afford to bring any more backs in until we see what the go is with the current crop, and lose some more deadwood next year. Would take him for 2026 in a heart beat, this year we need help in the back row.

If he waits till September, then he’s gone!
No doubt
I don’t see what all of the drama is about with Galvin,
If by chance he does get 2nd year syndrome and has a disappointing year we save $
If he has a stand out season we will need a lot of money to keep him.
The kids gambling on his ability which by about half way through this year we should know if he collects or ends up costing himself some serious 💰
As a gambler myself I wish him well.

Agreed till the last sentence. Not yet, but he probably will be.
We have the best 5/8 in the comp playing alongside him, plus, the next best youngster in Fainu, and I say keep them all.
I think Gals fitness and attitude towards training is what will take him to the top. When others are running out of gas, he’ll be ready to go. If you have that mental application at 18, you are already ahead of the pack.
There are quite a few that say Fainu was, and is the better 5/8 coming through the grades. But Faunu came back looking like a Xmas ham and Gal came back ready to go. Ahead of the pack without touching a ball.
I’ve said it many times, we need to be better at all the things that take no talent. It takes no talent to turn up to work on time, fit, and ready to go.
Yes, Galvin's fitness is exceptionally good and that will help him in his NRL future.

Listening to stories on DCE, his fitness and repetitive dedication at training is what gave him the edge. He was on the field training and practicing long after games. So when he took over the Manly halves he really had his game locked down.

My comments confuse some, I am not 100% sold that Galvin is a must sign. But as you say when Fainu comes back like a Christmas ham and Galvin comes back fit, it's a strong indication that we should open the chequebook more to sign him. ... Just how much more?

Meh, I am probably wrong... Just sign the guy and throw the chequebook at him. At least we know he will be in the starting 13 and not reserve grade like many of our premium signings.
