Galvin on 250k-350k for the next 2 years with a true market value closer to 800k - 1mil.
Who are you going to get for 250k-350k of equal or better value for money? Trading him early likely weakens us and makes another team stronger.

Hmmm I think Hopgood improves our pack considerably tbh. I’d trade him for Galvin ASAP tbh. Just think the Galvin situation has the potential to really turn sour, better to get him out now and get whatever benefit we can. Maybe I’m wrong, just how it’s played out previously though.

Starts looking very very good imo. Torn if Hunt stays for impact over Twal or vice versa. Went with Twal as I think Sione is developing into that impact player pretty well.

I disagree he’s just a workhorse forward he’s shown to be one of the best locks in the game the last 2 years. Ryles just doesn’t seem to rate him for some reason.

I think what us fans need to come to terms with is that Galvin’s gone and most likely to Parramatta.

As much as it hurts to say, he 100% will not be at the club beyond next year. It’s inevitable. The fact they didn’t even want to review the offer gives you an insight on how strong Galvin’s stance is.

So if we can somehow gain some sort of benefit from Galvin leaving, and with that comes in the form of a QLD rep, 80 min workhorse lock like Hopgood who can ball play, offload and hits like a truck then I’d be pushing for this massively.

Better to get the trade done and start building a “team” that we wanna build this club around, which could involve:

7. Luai
9. Api/TDS
13. Hopgood

I say we don't give up. We need the same mentality in front office as we do on the field. We roll over there, then the team will roll over too.

Unless Richo somehow secures a DCE or Reynolds with Latu understudy then Galvin just becomes depth. Maybe then he would say to Eels, we will consider releasing Galvin for ‘26 if Hopgood can come to us.

We still have Sullivan on the books and doueihi can play there. You can't have quality halves as a backup. Most nrl teams run like this.

If we move on Sullivan, then maybe there is room for someone around 500k

Not sure who we have secured yet , but hoping Richo comes out with some decent players , I’m confident as he knows what players have come so far have made a difference , pretty much Luai , May , Turuva , Bird , Skelton have all added to make us much better , I’m just hoping we grab another Centre , Backrower , Prop , of quality , reason is

It would be nice but I cannot see the Eels swapping one of their best for Galvin. They required Utoikamanu to fulfill his contract and we should require the same of Galvin. I have confidence Richardson and Marshall can recruit the players we want.

for me , I’d go Mariner , both Mays (so all 3), KPP , Hetherington , Young .
I’d let go of Staines and maybe Naden , deepening on Value of contract for Naden .
I’d also go hard at Reynolds/ DCE with the primary objective being to be a placeholder and feed as much info into Latu Fainus head as possible . Specifically around kicking .

Fitzgibbon brought Jess Colquhoun back into the Sharks after a long layoff with injury. Colquhoun is an outstanding young prop.

You've rated him for years.

Good shout.
Remember seeing him in juniors and could see the potential.
Unfortunately haven't seen much of him over recent years due to the injuries but see how he goes.
