What season are they trying to get one of these?

For 2020 and beyond. Looking for teams with cap pressure and players who want a change/playing out of position.

Doueihi, who was last season's regular fullback, had been earmarked to play five-eighth if the club didn't re-sign Cody Walker. When Walker signed a two-year extension in December, Douehi was then assured he would be staying at fullback.

Now that Mitchell has been signed, with him also earmarked to play fullback, it is understood that Doueihi is concerned about where he will fit in the side. The Wests Tigers approached Souths last week about signing him, but his management is yet to be notified about their interest.

When asked about how adding Mitchell to the pack would push players such as Doueihi out from the spotlight, coach Wayne Bennett said it was a "hard decision".

Souths offered up a winger to the club last week which was knocked back by the Titans.

"At this stage, we are obviously keen to keep Jai," Watt said. "They did offer us a player last week, but he was a winger so...at this stage there is nothing there to interest us."

Re Doueihi...he would not be on a lot at all with Souths. Probably 200 or less.

And has two years to run.

They would be under no pressure to release him cap wise.

But....the issue will be holding back a player's career.

He is a FB / half and all those spots are gone. He also could set up his family by joining a team that needs a FB/ half and can pay him much more.

So Souths will have to look at whether they block the kids career path or not now they have no spot for him in the first 13.
